摘要： This invention discloses a low-noise cross-wall (“saddle” shaped) air conditioner window unit. The unit includes an indoors casing that houses the condenser and compressor and an outdoors casing that houses the evaporator. A connecting frame (which straddles the windowsill) connects the indoors and outdoors casings. In a first embodiment, an axial condenser fan and a centrifugal fan evaporator fan are driven simultaneously by a dual-axle motor housed in the outdoors casing. The axle driving the indoors evaporator fan extends through the connecting frame over the windowsill. In a second embodiment, the evaporator fan is a cross-flow fan. Both features are designed to make the unit lightweight and quiet indoors. The full specification discloses additional novel features such as venting patterns and perforated frames, also for making the unit lightweight, efficient, and/or quiet. Installation is enabled with spacers or fasteners, not requiring support brackets.

The user interface is configured to serve notifications to a user and receive input from the user. The communications interface is configured to perform bidirectional data communications with HVAC equipment controlled by the thermostat. The communications interface is configured to receive performance information for the HVAC equipment. The processing circuit is configured to provide control signals to the HVAC equipment to achieve a setpoint for the building space. The processing circuit is further configured to evaluate the performance information for the HVAC equipment to determine a recommendation for improving HVAC equipment performance. The processing circuit is further configured to automatically adjust at least one of the setpoint and the control signals provided to the HVAC equipment based on the recommendation for improving HVAC equipment performance.

摘要： A method for controlling an air conditioner system may include receiving, by one of an outdoor unit and a plurality of indoor units in a group, a command; transmitting, by the outdoor unit, a channel scan command to the plurality of indoor units; performing a channel scan by each of the outdoor unit and the plurality of indoor units; transmitting, by the plurality of indoor units, channel scan results to the outdoor unit; determining, by the outdoor unit, a channel to be used among a plurality of pre-set channels of a particular group based on a result of the channel scan performed by the outdoor unit and the channel scan results received from the plurality of indoor units; and outputting, by the outdoor unit, information on the channel to the plurality of indoor units. According to this method, an optimal wireless communication channel may be set.
