    • Exemplary embodiments are directed to an equipment space that is a closed space provided with electrical equipment and an air dryer condensing the moisture of the air in the equipment space into water. A system for removing water from the equipment space includes a porous element having a capillary structure and being located in an outlet opening of the equipment space. The porous element is connected such that water condensed by the air dryer is directed to a first inner surface of the porous element. The capillary structure of the porous element is configured to propogate water from the inner surface of the porous element to an outer surface of the porous element. The outer surface of the porous element is configured to release water to ambient air outside the equipment space.

    • Embodiments provide a multi-pass kiln with two or more chambers, an entrance and an exit at a proximal end of the kiln, and a reciprocal flow path extending through the kiln from the entrance to the exit. Lumber charges traveling along the reciprocal flow path may travel in a first direction along one side of the heated second chamber before traveling in a substantially opposite second direction along the opposite side of the second chamber. The distal end of the kiln may be substantially sealed, and a pressure differential between the distal end and the proximal end may draw moist heated air from the heated chamber toward the exit and entry to preheat and/or condition lumber charges traveling through the first chamber.

    • A portable garment dryer, operable with a portable electric hair dryer which includes an outlet nozzle that can produce a heated airflow, the portable garment dryer including: a. a housing formed by sidewalls, an open top end and a closed bottom end, the housing being telescopically collapsible in a top to bottom direction from an extended state to a contracted state, the housing side wall having an aperture extending transversely therethrough and into which the outlet nozzle of a portable electric hair dryer is insertable for directing a heated airflow into and through the housing and out the top end thereof, and b. a perforated garment support mountable in the housing, the garment support adapted to support at least one garment in the heated airflow when the outlet nozzle of a portable hair dryer is inserted into the aperture in said housing wall, whereby the garment can be dried by the heated airflow from the portable hair dryer.
