    • A launchable grenade system is backwards compatible with conventional launch platforms and is capable of launching a variety of payloads at greater range and increased launch velocity, and with significantly improved targeting accuracy. The grenade is pre-packaged in a disposable launch canister that effectively confines launch ejection gases behind the projectile until it exits the canister. Additional enhancements in one or more embodiments, include collapsible aerodynamic stabilizers that are folded inside the launch canister prior to firing and deploy in flight to improve projectile stability and ballistic performance; electronic fuzing for improved repeatability and targeting precision, next-generation digital capabilities that include electronic device identification, failsafe and device monitoring; and momentum arresting forward expulsion of the payload to reduce blunt trauma hazard from projectile hardware and to provide for short distance targeting at significantly greater speed.

    • A modified 40 mm grenade round designed to breach doors without throwing a substantial amount of shrapnel into a building's interior. The modified round includes a standoff device located on its forward end. The standoff device detonates the explosive charge within the projectile before the nose of the projectile actually strikes the target. This early detonation throws a pressure wave again the door's exterior, forcing the door inward. Shrapnel produced by the detonation remains primarily outside the door. Thus, the modified projectile is able to blow open a door without throwing a significant amount of shrapnel into a building's interior.

    • A muzzle launched grapnel hook projectile having a body with an internal cavity which is sized to fit over the muzzle end of a rifle or spigot. A bullet trap within the internal cavity permits launching of the projectile one time with a live bullet cartridge as the propulsion force. The projectile can then be launched multiple times with a blank propellant cartridge. The front of the projectile mounts several torsion springs which serve as tines to grab trip wires and detonate trip wire mines as the projectile is being dragged back to the launch point. The torsion spring design and mounting scheme permits the tine to bend and release from non-trip wire obstacles along the retrieval path. Attached to the base of the projectile at a flange is a bridle consisting of multiple leader lines. Pulling on the bridle causes the leader lines to come together to form a cone-like surface which allows the base of the projectile to slide easily over obstacles. Attached to the bridle assembly is a retrieval line, which is made from mono-filament or twisted ribbon plastic material wound into a unique spool, which permits the line to be pulled out without snagging and with minimal friction resulting in a long projectile trajectory range.
