    • A musical instrument having a plurality of tone bars for the respective individual tones of the instrument. The tone bars are disposed in two parallel rows one overlying the other. A keyboard which may be of the type used in a piano is provided, and associated with each key is pass hammer which is adapted to be actuated by the associated key for striking the related tone bar. The hammers are positioned generally along one of the rows of tone bars, and in order that the hammers can strike the tone bars in the other row, at least some of the tone bars in the firstmentioned row define recesses therein along one edge so as to permit the hammer to passs therethrough and strike the associated tone bar in the other row. In addition, a resonance box is positioned over the tone bars and defines therein apertures which are disposed opposite the tone bars. Those apertures which are disposed opposite the tone bars in the more remote row of tone bars are larger than those which are disposed opposite the tone bars in the closer row of such tone bars.

    • Cap with a hollow housing containing a count down mechanism so that when a person pushes down on the cap during the opening process, a rotational force within the housing causes the day and numerical count indices printed on cylinders within the housing to advance one station so that the day and count indices showing in viewing apertures located on the outside wall of the housing reflect the fact that an item such as a pill has been taken by the user. A preferred embodiment includes a ring release slide mechanism that allows the user to disengage the advancing mechanism so that the user can manually rotate the counting mechanism to initially set the indices to the correct location with respect to the viewing apertures and to be able to reset the indices if the user presses on the top cap housing accidentally.

    • A hand held percussion musical instrument including: a thin walled resonance chamber and a first rigid coil having a first end attached to the resonance chamber such as by welding. The first rigid coil has a length perpendicular to the surface of the resonance chamber and; the first coil includes a plurality of individual wire wraps each wrap spaced from adjacent wraps. A second end of the first coil is spaced from the resonance chamber such that striking the first coil produces first musical tones amplified by said resonance chamber. The resonance chamber can be held between the user's thumb and middle finger such that the coil can be struck or filtered by the user's index finger during play.
