    • An improved high speed package printer for producing a plurality of high quality photographs of varying size, shape, and style based on one or a plurality of different film negatives. The improved package printer of the present invention accomplishes the goal of increased throughput and speed through the use of an automatic paper-loading feature, ultrasonic proximity sensors for dynamically measuring paper-slack loops, off-center printing for eliminating the need to advance the paper for punching after each exposure, a rotational prism for creating 10".times.13" photographs without physically rotating the film, a 13-UP lens deck including 12 wallet lenses and a single 5".times.7" retro-focus lens for creating 12 wallet-sized photographs and one 5".times.7" photograph from a single exposure, an automatic diffusion plate cleaner for eliminating the system down time associated with manual diffusion plate cleaning, an improved filtering arrangement for equalizing the amount of energy emitted from each lamp within a photographic lamphouse, and bi-directional film movement for producing a single composite containing a plurality of different images or poses. The high speed package printer of the present invention also boasts an improved film cleaning arrangement for increasing the quality of the prints, as well as penumbra masking for producing photographs having sharply delineated borders.

    • A photographic processor includes a first transporting device, a second transporting device, and an exposing optical system. The first transporting device is provided in an exposure device and transports a photographic film subjected to development processing by the first processor at a predetermined speed. The second transporting device is provided in the exposure device and transports an unexposed photosensitive material at a predetermined speed. The exposing optical system is provided in the exposure device and effects exposure by causing an image on the photographic film to be formed on the photosensitive material in a case where the photographic film is being transported by the first transporting device and the photosensitive material is being transported by the second transporting device. In this photographic processor, since imagewise exposure is effected while both the photographic film and the photosensitive material are being transported by the exposure device at predetermined speeds, respectively, the photosensitive material can be exposed in accordance with the image recorded on the photographic film by arbitrarily changing the magnification with a simple arrangement.

    • A rotary camera for photographing an original image on a document sheet so that a photographed image is formed on a frame of a microfilm roll. The document sheet is fed from a document feed port onto a rotary drum which comprises a hollow cylinder having an outer periphery provided with multiple small through-holes and suction means for sucking air through the multiple through-holes so that at least a zone of the document sheet exposed to photographing light is closely fitted over the outer periphery of the hollow cylinder. The photographed document sheet is stripped from the hollow cylinder by document stripping means disposed downstream of the suction means and then discharged through a document discharge port. Preferably, a buffer zone is provided between the suction means and the document stripping means to facilitate smooth stripping and preventing folding of the document sheet. The document feed port and the document discharge port is disposed through the front wall of the casing so that the operator can feed the document sheet while observing the image-bearing face of the document sheet. A film unit containing therein a microfilm roll is mounted on the rear side of the top wall of the casing and an optical system for passing the image-bearing light to the film unit is disposed rearward of the rotary drum, so that there is no risk that the image-bearing light is interfered by the lights entering from the document feed and discharge ports.
