摘要： To reduce false counts of a device that counts a user's step count. A pedometer device, a step counting method, and a recording medium are provided. The pedometer devices includes: an acquiring unit that acquires a sensor signal output by a sensor carried by a user; an extracting unit that extracts a feature quantity from the sensor signal; a storage unit that stores a walking model which represents walking motions, the walking model being formed based on a feature quantity extracted from a sensor signal corresponding to a predetermined number of steps of walking; a comparing unit that compares the feature quantity extracted at the extracting unit with the walking model; and a deciding unit that decides whether the user has walked a predetermined number of steps, based on a result of the comparison performed by the comparing unit.

摘要： An order controller stores each received event in a separate entry in one of at least two queues with a separate counter value set from an arrival order counter at the time of storage, wherein the arrival order counter is incremented after storage of each of the received events and on overflow the arrival order counter wraps back to zero. The order controller calculates an absolute value of the difference between a first counter value stored with an active first next entry in a first queue from among the at least two queues and a second counter value stored with an active second next entry in a second queue from among the at least two queues. The order controller compares the absolute value with a counter midpoint value to determine whether the first counter value was stored before the second counter value.

摘要： Methods, systems and devices are provided for displaying monitored activity data in substantial real-time on a screen of a computing device. One example method includes capturing motion data associated with activity of a user via an activity tracking device. The motion data is quantified into a plurality of metrics associated with the activity of the user. The method includes connecting the activity tracking device with a computing device over a wireless data connection, and sending motion data from the activity tracking device to the computing device for display of one or more of the plurality of metrics on a graphical user interface of the computing device. At least one of the plurality of metrics displayed on the graphical user interface is shown to change in substantial real-time based on the motion data.
