    • An adaptive equipment for playing chords on a musical instrument is provided. The apparatus can have a shell having an interior cavity. The adaptive equipment has a root pin partially installed within a root housing channel of a root housing, the root housing is fixedly installed within an interior cavity of the shell and is positioned toward the left side of the shell. The adaptive equipment has a fifth pin partially installed within a fifth housing channel of a fifth housing, the fifth housing is fixedly installed within the interior cavity of the shell and is positioned toward the right side of the shell. The adaptive equipment has a third pin partially installed within a third housing channel of a third housing, the third housing is movably installed within the interior cavity of the shell and is positioned between the root housing and the fifth housing. The root pin, the third pin and the fifth pin correspond to a major triad on a piano keyboard when the third housing is positioned closer to the fifth housing. The root pin, the third pin and the fifth pin correspond to a minor triad on the piano keyboard when the third housing is positioned closer to the root housing.

    • An upright keyboard musical instrument has an open/close board attached to the top position of a case, wherein the lower surface of the open/close board is subjected to mirror surface finishing and is supported by a lid prop, which is rotatably arranged in proximity to the top board to rotate about a support axis and is formed in an L-shape to have a plurality of support surfaces, realizing different angles for the open/close board being opened. The mirror surface of the open/close board projects images representing internal members of the case, such as an emblem and actions. By appropriately rotating the lid prop, it is possible to realize a desired angle for the open/close board, thus realizing tone volume control and visually entertaining effects in musical performance.

    • A steel wire (e.g., a piano wire) for use in a stringed musical instrument is designed to have a specific chemical composition in which phosphorus content ranges from 0.015 weight percent to 0.050 weight percent, wherein the total decarburized layer depth of a decarburized layer formed on the surface, which is subjected to decarburized depth measurement using a microscope method as defined in the Japanese Industrial Standard JIS G 0588, is reduced to 2 μm or less. In manufacturing, a rolled steel material is subjected to wire drawing and patenting under prescribed conditions, wherein the sound quality realized by the steel wire installed in a stringed musical instrument can be noticeably improved by adopting both chemical composition control and total decarburized layer depth control.
