摘要： The present invention is to provide a pickup feed device to accurately position an optical pickup in place with miniaturization. The pickup device includes a lead screw attached to a movable chassis, a pickup portion, a rack member, a torsion coil spring, a projection portion, and a recess portion. The pickup portion has a case receiving the pickup. The rack member is fixed to the case. The rack portion disposed on a rack one end portion and a case one end portion are engaged with the lead screw. A rack another end portion has the abut portion abutting an inner edge portion of the movable chassis. The torsion coil spring urges the abut portion toward a case another end portion. The projection portion is disposed on the abut portion and the recess portion is disposed on the case another end portion.

The disc-shaped information carriers can be placed on carriers arranged in a circle around the manipulator axis of rotation. The design with partially turnable carriers allows for arrangement of the carriers on the axes of partial turning in columns. The manipulator consists at least of two arms. The long arm is equipped with a movable arm and the short arm is equipped with a picker of disc-shaped information carriers. By swinging out of the movable arm against the carrier, the carrier is turned out and the given tray is separated from the others and it can thus be served by the manipulator.

摘要： A disk loading mechanism of a disk drive includes a loading motor which transmits a rotating force. A disk transporting unit, having a loading arm, transports a disk in either of two opposite directions by a rotation of the loading arm. A turntable moving unit, having a slide member, vertically moves a turntable between a non-contact position and a supporting position by a movement of the slide member. A gear is connected to the loading arm, and the gear is rotated by the loading motor to perform the rotation of the loading arm. A pinion is connected to the slide member, and the pinion is rotated by the loading motor to perform the movement of the slide member. A selective linking unit, connected to the loading motor, selectively transmits the rotating force from the loading motor to one of the gear and the pinion, the selective linking unit linking the gear with the loading motor when the disk is transported by the disk transporting unit, and linking the pinion with the loading motor when the turntable is vertically moved by the turntable moving unit.
