    • A seamless flat-round conductive cable is adapted for use in a retractable cord reel having a spool on which a round portion of the cable is wound and a cable expansion chamber in which a flat portion of the cable is disposed. The cable has a plurality of seamless conductive members, each of which may include an inner conductor and an outer insulating layer. The cable includes a first cable portion with a substantially flat configuration and a second cable portion with a substantially round configuration. The first cable portion includes a plurality of conductive members which are held together in a substantially flat configuration by, alternatively, bonding, jacketing or weaving the conductive members together. The second cable portion includes a plurality of conductive members, each of which is seamlessly connected to i.e., integral with, the respective conductive members of the first cable portion. The conductive members of the second portion are preferably twisted to form a substantially round configuration.

    • A structure for protecting and guiding a flat cable connected between a traveling module and a protective cover of a scanner is disclosed. The protective structure includes an anti-bending member mounted onto the traveling module for preventing the flat cable from being over-bent at its first end. A guide channel member is disposed on the protective cover under the flat cable and along the moving direction of the traveling module for guiding the flat cable during moving of the traveling module and preventing the flat cable from being swung left and right. The second end of the flat cable is extended into the protective cover via a protective sheath fitted on the cover for preventing the second end of the flat cable from excess bending angle and keep the flat cable smoothly moving without deflection.

    • A harness slack absorbing structure includes a resilient member 6 in a plate-like shape whose base end is fixed to a protector body 8 by means of a fixing member 7, and a wire harness 4 installed along the resilient member. The resilient member 6 is provided with a cut-out 34, and the fixing member 7 is provided with a slit 43 which is adapted to be engaged with the resilient member 6. An upper end 34a of the cut-out 34 is abutted against a lower end 43b of the slit 43, while the other end 34b of the cut-out is abutted against a base end 42b of the fixing member 7. The cut-out 34 may be provided on either side or both sides of the resilient member 6. The protector body 8 includes an insertion part 16 for receiving the resilient member 6, and the insertion part is provided with a cut-out 30 adapted to be engaged with the fixing member 7. The fixing member is fixed to the protector body by screw means 33, or through thermal deformation of projections which are formed of synthetic resin. The protector body is installed in a sliding door or a vehicle body of an automobile.

The receiver arrangement (15) includes an edge feature (40) and a tab receiving feature (41). A connector arrangement (14) includes a connector base (45) with a connector member (46, 47) extending from one side of the connector base and having an intermediate section (51) and a distal section (50). The distal section (50) of the connector member (46, 47) is adapted to hook over the edge feature when the intermediate section is positioned adjacent to, or flush against the edge feature.     • An apparatus for providing temporary electrical service. The apparatus includes a support structure having at least one service line, a meter base, and a breaker box secured thereto. One or more electrical receptacles can also be secured to the support structure. The support structure can be a trailer so as to facilitate the ready transport of the apparatus. The apparatus can also include a temporary service pole securable to the support structure, with a first service line for connecting to an overhead power supply extending through the service pole to a transfer switch. A second service line that can be connected to an underground power supply also connects to the transfer switch. The transfer switch can be positioned to permit electricity to flow from one of the service lines into the meter base, then into the breaker box. From the breaker box, electricity can flow into the electrical receptacles to facilitate the use of electrical equipment. Methods of using the apparatus are also disclosed.
