    • An improved lamp socket assembly having a modified common metal screw shell riveted to an insulated base, connected to the screw shell is an elongated conductive strip that extends down the side of the insulated bas. A pair of contact screws being arranged oppositely vertically and horizontally offset from each other via a center of the insulated base so as not to interfere with each other when making electrical contact with conductor of lamp wires. The contact screws both penetrate an insulated layer of the wires without piercing through whereby causing the wire to bend and bulge for providing an electrical contact quickly and safely.

    • A splice connector assembly for mechanically and selectively electrically connecting first and second conductor members includes a connector body adapted to receive the first and second conductor members. The connector body includes a first body member and a second body member adapted to engage the first body member. First and second electrically conductive terminals in the connector body are adapted to electrically engage the first and second conductor members, respectively. An electrically conductive bridge member is mounted in the connector body such that the bridge member is movable between a closed position, wherein the bridge member electrically connects the first and second terminals and thereby the first and second conductor members, and an open position, wherein the bridge member does not electrically connect the first and second terminals so that the first and second conductor members are not electrically connected by the splice connector assembly. The splice connector assembly is arranged and configured to crimp the first conductor member to the first terminal when the first and second body members are engaged with the first conductor member positioned therebetween. According to some embodiments, the first terminal of the splice connector assembly described above includes an insulation displacement connector.

    • An insulation displacement contact (IDC) connector (1) includes a housing (10) receiving a plurality of contacts (11), a cover (12) and a locking member (13). The cover has two latches (121) at opposite ends thereof, and the locking member has two arms (131) at opposite ends thereof. The housing has two receptacles (101) at opposite ends thereof. Each receptacle includes an inner wall, two parallel sidewalls (1011) extending from the inner wall, and an outer wall (1012) interconnecting the two sidewalls. Each outer wall has two gaps (1013) respectively adjacent the sidewalls and spanning from a bottom edge thereof to a middle section thereof, for providing the outer wall with better elasticity. The latches and the arms insert into the receptacles with the outer walls elastically deforming, thereby establishing electrical connection between tails of the contacts and a determined section of a flat cable, while not damage the outer wall.
