摘要： A modular, space-efficient support structure mounts multiple electrical devices. The structure is modular to allow for subsequent addition and removal of electrical devices by adding and removing primary structural elements coupled for structural efficiency. The structure is deployable in many locations without reconfiguration and has reduced dependence on local site conditions. The structure uses non-permanent construction methods to facilitate rapid assembly, disassembly, re-deployment and re-use of components. Multiple electrical devices such as transformers are mounted at elevation on device mounting columns. The electrical devices are interconnected to each other in parallel or series with connectors mounted on the top portion of the device to allow maintenance clearance underneath. The arrangement of the electrical devices maximizes the density of the devices while maintaining vertical, lateral and radial safety clearances. The electrical devices are arranged in a symmetrical fashion around the primary structural element for symmetrical load distribution.

摘要： A utility distribution pedestal for marine and recreational vehicles can be entirely separated and removed from its base without disturbing the service connections. Pedestals with different selections of receptacles can be quickly exchanged to change the service provided by any given pedestal location. Individual receptacle panels in the pedestal offering different combinations of receptacles can easily be added or exchanged after initial installation as utility needs change or for maintenance without any screw terminal wire removal. A metering system using four current transformers is controlled by an integrated mechanical jumper for switching the system into single or two phase configurations for one or two user readouts or a three-phase configuration for a one user readout. No pedestal disassembly or assembly is required to change these configurations. Remote monitoring for wireless metering and electromechanical counters may also be employed.

摘要： Pole-mounted equipment is adaptable for mounting on utility poles having a wide range of diameters and is relatively vandal-proof. A first equipment housing is secured to the pole by plural U-shaped bolts, the ends of which are tightly secured to the first assembly. Mounting brackets extend from the first assembly to a length greater than the largest pole diameter in said range and are secured to a second equipment housing. The brackets thereby define a uniform spacing between the first and second housings, irrespective of pole diameter. A front panel is secured to one of said housings and is protected by an access door. A cover, in the form of two generally L-section members, protects the housing from the elements and includes inwardly-projecting studs which extend into both housings where they are appropriately secured. Openings are provided in the top of the cover to accomodate the pole. In a specific embodiment used for a remote telephone station, antennas and a solar energy absorber are mounted proximate the top of the pole and are connected to components in the housing by cables running along the pole.

摘要： A joystick assembly is disclosed. In embodiments, the joystick controls a boom and aids in insulating a user from potential electric shock. Handle utilized by the operator may be made of, or at least one surface coated or covered in, material highly-resistant to electric current. The highly-resistant material may also extend to other components such as, a connecting rod, and a mounting base. The highly-resistant components may separate the operator from electrically charged components. As well as separating the operator from potentially electrically charged components, the rod may be received at the base by force measuring sensors, or strain measuring sensors may be attached to the rod. This allows the handle and rod to be stationary and, in embodiments, rigid, and only the applied force to be measured, thus decreasing the number of components needed in the assembly.
