摘要： The present disclosure relates to an electronic device and a media contents reproducing method thereof. An electronic device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include a reproducing unit configured to reproduce media contents; and a controller configured to generate a control signal in response to an adjustment command for a reproduction speed of the media contents. The reproducing unit may include an audio parser configured to parse an audio stream of the media contents to detect its sampling rate; and an audio decoder configured to change an inverse sampling rate corresponding to the detected sampling rate according to the control signal, and decode the audio stream based on the changed inverse sampling rate.

摘要： A storage medium for storing text-based subtitle data including style information, a reproducing apparatus and methods are provided for reproducing text-based subtitle data including style information separately recorded on the storage medium. The storage medium includes: multimedia image data; and text-based subtitle data for displaying subtitles on an image based on the multimedia image data, wherein the text-based subtitle data includes dialog information indicating subtitle contents to be displayed on the image, style information indicating an output style of the dialog information, and partial style information indicating an output style applied to a portion of the dialog information. Accordingly, subtitles can be provided in a plurality of languages without limited to the number of units of subtitle data. In addition, subtitle data can be easily produced and edited. Likewise, an output style of the subtitle data can be changed in a variety of ways. Also, a special style can be applied in order to emphasize a portion of the subtitles.

The recording medium stores still picture group information for grouping a plurality of still pictures in order to manage the still picture at a group level, and stores audio group information for grouping additional audio data added to the still picture data after the still picture data are recorded. Therefore, large-capacity still picture data and additional audio data added thereto can be recorded using a minimum amount of management information. Further, during reproduction, data can be displayed and edited in units of the respective still pictures. Also, it is possible to cope with after-recording of the audio data.

The device for reproducing a DVD audio disc includes a video attribute of a video title set including an extended audio data mode; a sub-picture attribute thereof including the extended audio data mode; video/sub-picture packs including an extended audio stream, the extended audio stream being having an extended audio stream header and frames, the extended audio stream header having a usage area for storing an audio coding mode, sampling frequency, quantization bit number, and usage data of extended audio data, and the usage area of the extended audio data indicating bit extension, bandwidth extension, and channel extension of the extended audio data, whereby the video/sub-picture packs are made as an audio pack for selectively recording the extended audio data when recording and the audio data can be reproduced by combining reproducing data of a basic audio pack with the extended audio pack when reproducing the data from the disc.
