摘要： The present invention relates to osmotic delivery devices, formulations, and methods for delivery of two or more beneficial agents. In one aspect, the present invention provides osmotic delivery devices useful for substantially concurrent administration of two or more beneficial agents. In another aspect, the present invention provides beneficial agent formulations for use in the osmotic delivery devices. The formulations include formulations wherein beneficial agents are soluble in the vehicle, suspension formulations comprising particle formulations of one or more beneficial agent, and combinations thereof. Further, methods for treatment of a variety of diseases or conditions using two or more beneficial agents are disclosed, wherein the methods are preferably practiced using the osmotic delivery devices and/or formulations of the invention.

摘要： Devices and methods are provided for controlled delivery of medical substances such as drugs and medication. For example, a microchip medical substance delivery device includes a control system, and a medical substance capsule that comprises a medical substance contained with a reservoir, and a release structure to release the medical substance from within the reservoir in response to an activation signal generated by the control system. The control system comprises a wireless signal receiving element, processor, actuator circuit, and power supply source. The wireless signal receiving element captures a wireless signal. The processor detects an activation code embedded within the captured wireless signal, and generates an actuator control signal in response to the detection of the activation code. The actuator circuit generates the activation signal in response to the actuator control signal generated by the processor. The power supply source provides power to operate components of the control system.

摘要： The invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition in the form of a system in film form for transmucosal administration of steroid hormones. An administration system for steroid hormones which dissolves in the mouth and which releases with a high bioavailability is disclosed. The administration system in film form dissolves in the mouth preferably in a period of less than 30 min, and the steroid hormone entering the bloodstream transmucosally from the administration system leads to a rapid rise in the concentration in the blood. It is thus possible to achieve a maximum concentration of this steroid hormone in the blood in a period of less than 60 min after administration.

The system comprises a hollow removal device, a filter, and an infusion device. The filter is configured to create a filtered form of vitreous humor by separating the vitreous humor from undesired components in the vitreous humor. The infusion device is fluidly coupled to the filter and is configured to return the filtered form of vitreous humor into the eye.

The sustained release dosage forms provide therapeutically effective average steady-state plasma paliperidone or risperidone concentrations when administered once per day. This once-a-day dosing regimen results in only one peak plasma paliperidone or risperidone concentration occurrence in each 24 hour period. In addition, the peak plasma paliperidone or risperidone concentration occurs at a later time following dose administration and exhibits a lesser magnitude than the peak plasma paliperidone or risperidone concentration that occurs following administration of paliperidone or risperidone in an immediate-release dosage form.
