    • The invention relates to a filter device comprising at least one filter chamber (7) configured between a chamber side (5) and a membrane side (6) of two parallel filter plates (1) and divided through two filter cloths (4), the membrane sides (6) of the two filter plates (1) each comprising a membrane (3), an outlet (8), and a deviation element (12) attached to the outlet (8) and penetrating the membrane (3). When the filter device is closed, a suspension containing a solid substance can be inducted between the filter cloths (4) in such a way that a filtrate penetrates the filter cloths (4) on the chamber side (5) and on the membrane side (6), while the solid substance is deposited in a filter cake on the filter cloths (4). The filtrate flows initially substantially parallel to the filter cloth (4) towards the outlet (8), is deviated through the deviation element (12) in an outlet direction (9) perpendicular to the filter cloth (4), and flows out through the outlet (8). When the filter device is open, the filter plates (1) are at a distance from each other, so that the filter cloths (4) with the filter cake can be removed from the filter chamber (7). In order to avoid loss of tightness of the filter device, a sealing edge (16) of the deviation element (12) is flush with the membrane in a sealing manner.

    • A shaking device for filter plates of a filter press including a fixed support, a movable frame, a sleeve spring device, and a shaking rod. The fixed support includes a main beam and a support crossbeam. The movable frame includes a frame crossbeam and a vertical beam. The movable frame is disposed on the support crossbeam. One end of the sleeve spring device is attached to the frame crossbeam and the other end is attached to the shaking rod. The movable frame is driven by a gear motor. The shaking device further includes a cylinder assembly. The cylinder assembly is coaxially connected with the sleeve spring device and the shaking rod in a straight line. When the cylinder assembly acts on the shaking rod, the shaking rod shakes to separate and shakes a plurality of filter cloth rods of the filter plates to remove the filter cakes.

    • A filter press plate shifter assembly (21) provided with a shifter housing (22) having a tunnel-like center part which passes over the filter plates and housing parts positioned adjacent opposite side rails (14). Each side housing part mounts a pneumatic plate shifter (41) for permitting the endmost plate in the closed stack to be individually and sequentially shifted away from the stack into an open position when discharge of filtrate is desired. The shifter housing mounts a bumping device (61) which cooperates with the endmost plate in the stack to effect vertical bumping thereof relative to the support rails to assist in loosening sticky cake which adheres to the plate. The shifter housing also mounts an air-assist discharge mechanism (62) which includes a nozzle-bearing head assembly (80, 80') which moves vertically downwardly between the opposed faces of an open pair of adjacent plates for discharging airstreams downwardly against the plates to assist in removing the sticky cake from the plates. The overall operation of the shifter assembly is fully automated to permit each adjacent pair of plates in the closed stack to be opened, bumped and subjected to an air blast to cause discharge of sticky cake.

    • A beer filtering device of a filter press type for filtering a beer stock. The beer filter device includes a plurality of filter plates (4) and a plurality of filter frames (6) arranged side by side in alternate relationship to each other. A filter element (28) is supported to each filter plate (4). A stock line (66) for supplying a beer stock and a filtrate line (68) for discharging a filtrate of the beer stock are so formed as to penetrate through the filter plates and the filter frames in the thickness direction thereof. The stock line and the filtrate line are sealed by a plurality of stock line seals (48) and a plurality of filtrate line seals (74), respectively, each interposed between the filter plate and the filter frame adjacent to each other in a filtering step. A plurality of washer liquid seals (76) are provided outside the stock line seals and the filtrate line seals in such a manner that each washer liquid seal is interposed between the filter plate and the filter frame adjacent to each other. In a washing step, a space defined by the filter plates and the filter frames is sealed by the washer liquid seals under the condition where the sealed condition of the stock line and the filtrate line by the stock line seals and the filtrate line seals is released. In this condition, a washer liquid is circulated in the sealed space defined by the washer liquid seals to thereby extensively wash and sterilize the interior of the beer filtering device.
