An example apparatus includes processor circuitry to: identify a first occurrence of a safety event based on outputs of sensors associated with at least one of doors or docks, the event associated with a first event type of a plurality of event types; determine a time of day different instances of the event occurred within a given period of time; determine a number of at least one of different doors or different docks associated with the different instances of the event; select a particular corrective action based on the time of day of the different instances of the event and based on the number of the at least one of the different doors or the different docks; and cause an output device to output an indication of the particular corrective action.

摘要： A system for preventing semitrailer collisions with a loading ramp (10) comprising: —a sensor unit (100) comprising a sensor and configured for sensing when the rear end of a semitrailer (12) is approaching a loading ramp (10); —a guide block (200) adapted to be positioned on the ground, laterally and/or medially to the opening of a loading ramp; —the guide block comprises a first wheel blocking means configured as a sled (210) adapted for supporting the tread of a rear tire of the semitrailer, and moves from a forwarded position relative to said loading ramp to a retracted position relative to the ramp when being pushed by the rear tire as the semitrailer is reversing towards the ramp; —the sensor unit is configured to send a blocking signal to said guide block (200) when the distance between said rear end of said semitrailer (12) and said loading ramp (10) is below a preset threshold, wherein said wheel blocking means locks its position in response to said blocking signal, thereby blocking the movement of said sled; —a rain flap (14) isolation device adapted for preventing said rear tire and its rain flap from touching each other while said rear tire is positioned within said sled during its movement from a forwarded position relative to said loading ramp to a retracted position relative to said loading ramp when being pushed by said rear tire as said semitrailer is reversing towards said loading ramp.

摘要： Systems and associated methods for controlling operation of loading dock equipment are described herein. In some embodiments, the system and associated methods can be used to control operation of loading dock equipment (e.g., a vehicle restraint, a dock door, a dock leveler, etc.) according to a sequence of operations. The sequence of operations can include different sub-sequences based on loading dock conditions. The system can include a display screen that sequentially presents a series of control elements that enable operation of the loading dock equipment. Additionally, the visual appearance and/or sequence of presentation of the control elements indicate the proper sequence of selection to the user, thereby reducing user confusion and simplifying the operation of the loading dock equipment. Some functionality of the control panel can be enabled or disabled based on a current level of authorization.

摘要： An apparatus and related method for a dock housing for a pre-existing loading dock. The dock housing includes a base with top and bottom surfaces and front, back and opposed sidewalls. The front wall has integral fork pockets for interaction with forks on a fork truck for movement of the base into a desired location and the top surface has an opening to receive a dock leveler into such opening. Also included is a modular frame mounted onto the base in sections, the sections including a frame-front wall, opposed frame-sidewalls and a frame-top wall, the frame-front wall having a trailer-receiving opening to receive a trailer, the frame-sidewalls including a slotted-base attachment for securement of the base and sidewalls together. The dock housing is formed by securing the frame-sidewalls to a wall of a pre-existing building as well as securing the base, the frame-front wall and the frame-top wall together.

The systems and methods can provide information regarding the status of various components of the loading dock station to a remote monitoring and authorization control unit, where a supervisor or the like is capable of reviewing real time information regarding the status of the components and progress through and adherence to a workflow protocol. The systems and methods can also provide for authorization requests to be sent to the remote monitoring and authorization control unit, such as requests to override certain components of the docking station. The user at the remote monitoring and authorization control unit can then grant or deny requests based on status information and other data provided at the remote monitoring and authorization control unit.
