摘要： Methods for determining parameter/s of a well completion design (WCD) for at least a portion of a drilled well based on drilling data corresponding to variables of mechanical specific energy (MSE) are provided. In some cases, MSE values may be acquired and the WCD parameter/s may be based on the MSE values. The MSE values may be obtained from a provider or may be acquired by calculating the MSE values via the drilling data. In some cases, the data may be amended prior to determining the WCD parameter/s to substantially neutralize distortions of the data. In some cases, the methods may include creating a geomechanical model of the drilled well from acquired MSE values, optionally amending the geomechanical model and determining the WCD parameter/s from the geomechanical model. Storage mediums having program instructions which are executable by a processor for performing any steps of the methods are also provided.

A computer system receives a set of production information for a well located in a region. The computing system generates a set of general reference groups comprising one or more reference wells for the region. The computing system determines whether the set of production information for the well includes the threshold amount of production information. The computing system selects a subset of reference wells from the general reference groups based on one or more traits of the well. The computing system generates a reference curve based on the set of production information associated with each reference well in the subset of reference wells. The computing system fits a decline curve to the reference curve, to determine an estimated ultimate recovery of the well.

A determining eigenvectors and respective eigenvalues associated with the respective square matrix and then determining relevant eigenvectors having respective eigenvalues below a predetermined threshold. The projector is determined as a concatenation of the extended eigenvectors ordered according to multiple criteria: the respective order value of the subset; and the respective eigenvalue of the relevant eigenvector.

The liquid suspension is homogenous. An example method includes statically storing the liquid suspension in a container for at least one week; wherein the liquid suspension maintains a difference in density from the top of the container to the bottom of the container of less than one pound per gallon while stored. The method further includes adding the liquid suspension to a treatment fluid; wherein the liquid suspension reduces the density of the treatment fluid; and introducing the treatment fluid into a wellbore penetrating a subterranean formation.

The method further including, determining from the initial depth surface an initial depth estimate of the target formation bounding surface at a location of a current well, forming an objective function based, at least in part on a correlation between each key log in each of the set of training wells, and each corresponding key log in the current well, and optimizing the objective function by varying a depth shift between each of the set of training wells and the current well, to determine an optimum depth shift that produces an extremum of the objective function. The method still further including combining the initial depth estimate of the target formation bounding surface at the location of the current well with the optimum depth shift to produce a final depth estimate of the target formation bounding surface at the location of the current well.
