    • An apparatus and related method for operating a cooking appliance comprising a convection oven, a hot-air steamer, or a convection steamer, which includes a cooking chamber which can be closed by a door, a heating device, at least one steam injection device, at least one flow-generating device such as a blower, at least one temperature sensor, which detects the temperature in the cooking chamber, and an electronic appliance control unit with memory, in which cooking programs comprising the cooking sequences for specific food products are stored. Based on the time extending from a starting to a target temperature value, it is determined on the basis of the detected temperature curve in the cooking chamber whether and possibly to what extent it will take extra time to reach the target temperature. On this basis the appliance control unit calculates a cooking time extension, by which the cooking program step is extended.

    • The apparatus for heating a fluid, such as water, as well as the method for using the apparatus are used in taking a personal shower or in cleaning an object. The vessel is disposed on a heating grate to heat water flowing through the tube.

    • A transport mechanism for heat in housing includes the use of liquid media such as warm water and gaseous media such as heated air. For either of these heat transport media, a circulation pump or a blower is necessary with the exception of special cases. This invention relates to a heat transport method where the heat media is evaporated by a steam generator which is fed up to an objective heat emitting device through steam tubes. At this heat emitting device, the steam is condensed for utilization of the latent heat being obtained by this condensation to space heating, water heating and so on. Further, the condensed heat media liquid is once stored in a condensed liquid vessel which is under atmospheric pressure, and the heat media liquid inside the condensed liquid vessel is circulated into the steam generator via steam tubes by stopping the heating of the steam generator and utilizing the pressure reduction being caused inside the steam generator. This intermittent movement is repeated so that, upon completion of a circulation cycle, the steam generator is heated.

    • A system for producing hot water for a residential dwelling by recovering heat from the hot combustion gases in the flue and chimney of the dwelling's heating system. The system uses the usual hot water tank and furnace of the dwelling without any substantial modifications thereto. The hot water tank is located in an upper floor of the dwelling and is connected to the furnace which is located on a lower level by a first section of pipe which extends from adjacent the water heater to the furnace flue within the chimney. A cold water supply is connected to the first section of pipe by a second section of pipe which also extends through a portion of the chimney and the furnace flue to recover heat from the hot combustion gases passing therethrough. The heated water in the sections of pipe flows into the hot water tank through the usual cold water inlet line for subsequent discharge from the tank throughout the house. The usual heating means of the hot water tank supplies any additional heat that may be required to heat the water in the tank to a preset temperature during the summer or during periods of lower furnace usage.
