摘要： A panel array antenna comprises an input layer including a waveguide network coupling an input feed on a first side thereof to a plurality of primary coupling cavities on a second side thereof, and an output layer on the second side of the input layer. The output layer includes an array of horn radiators, respective horn radiator inlet ports in communication with the horn radiators, and respective slot-shaped output ports in communication with the respective horn radiator inlet ports to couple the horn radiators to the primary coupling cavities. The horn radiators, the respective horn radiator inlet ports, and the respective slot-shaped output ports are integrated in a monolithic layer, which is configured to provide respective output signals from the horn radiators having a polarization orientation that is rotated by a desired polarization rotation angle relative to respective input signals received at the respective slot-shaped output ports coupled thereto.

摘要： A polarizer apparatus for RF communications including an in-line waveguide switch having a first port with a rectangular waveguide shape, and a second port having a circular waveguide shape. The waveguide switch includes a plurality of rotatable disks coupled and arranged between the input and output of said waveguide switch, each of the disks having an opening provided therein which defines at least a portion of a signal path configured to allow RF signals to propagate therethrough. The waveguide switch includes an actuating mechanism arranged to rotate the disks to positions relative to each other which modify the polarization of RF signals propagating through the openings. The polarizer apparatus includes a feed coupled to the output of the waveguide switch, the feed including a vane polarizer arranged to circularly polarize signals provided thereto from the output of the waveguide switch.

摘要： A coaxial polarizer is provided. The coaxial polarizer includes an outer-conductive tube, an inner-conductive tube positioned within and axially aligned with the outer-conductive tube, and two dielectric bars each having a flat-first surface. The inner-conductive tube has two shallow-cavities on opposing portions of an outer surface of the inner-conductive tube. The shallow-cavities each have at least one planar area having a cavity length parallel to a Z axis and a cavity width, including a minimum width, perpendicular to the Z axis and to a radial direction of the inner-conductive tube. The flat-first surface has a dielectric length and width that are parallel and perpendicular to the Z axis, respectively. The dielectric length and dielectric width are less than the cavity length and the minimum width, respectively. The two flat-first surfaces of the respective two dielectric bars contact at least a portion of the respective two planar areas of the two shallow-cavities.

The ferrite control elements each include a radio frequency (RF) path assembly that includes a RF path ferrite element and a RF path dielectric element. The ferrite control elements also include a magnetizing ferrite assembly that includes a magnetizing ferrite element; one or more structural dielectric elements; and a flexible insulated waveguide wall. The magnetizing ferrite element is attached to the one or more structural dielectric elements, wherein the flexible insulated waveguide wall surrounds the magnetizing ferrite element and the structural dielectric elements, wherein the RF path ferrite element and the magnetizing ferrite element are attached to form a ferrite toroid. The ferrite control elements also include two tapered impedance matching transformers attached to the RF path assembly and the magnetizing ferrite assembly.
