摘要： Disclosed are improved antenna structures, systems, and methods of manufacturing. In an embodiment, low-cost internal 2G/5G antennas have flat metal dipole construction, which can include a stiffener. External embodiments include quad dipole antenna structures, with broadside or corner arrays. Isolated multi-band center or end-fed dipole antennas can include single-sided PCB or metal-only structures, for operation with at least two distinct frequencies, and can provide RF isolation, such as with an RF trap or a Balun system. Embodiments of non-DC path or pass-through dual band antennas feature trap structures, along with discrete or distributed matching, and can provide a DC feed path for LEDs. Low profile and flat vertically polarized omni-directional antennas, such as for operation at 915 MHz, include an open slot driven cavity. Stacked 2G/5G antenna structures provide axial symmetry between quadrants. Improved construction methods and antenna structures include enhanced thin metal components and low cost, crimp-only construction methods.

The disclosed systems and methods utilize a plurality of in-phase and quadrature (I/Q) samples generated from signals provided by receive channels associated with two or more antennas of the wireless system. Based on received reference signal parameters the reference signal within the signals from each receive channel among the receive channels is identified. Based on the identified reference signal from each receive channel, an angle of arrival between a baseline of the two or more antennas and incident energy from the UE to the two or more antennas is determined. 摘要： A system includes a phased array antenna. The phased array antenna includes a rear panel that has: a first array of phase shift elements; and a second array of rear antenna elements. The phased array antenna also includes a front panel that has a third array of front antenna elements. Each of the front antenna elements is electrically coupled to a corresponding one of the rear antenna elements through one of the phase shift elements. When the second array of rear antenna elements receives a radio signal from a base station and the first array of phase shift elements receives an optical control beam from the base station, the third array of antenna elements radiates an output radio signal in a direction indicated by the optical control beam.

摘要： The present invention provides a phase shifter assembly for an array antenna, comprising: a first level phase shifter, wherein the first level phase shifter is configured to control the phases of a plurality of sub-arrays of the array antenna, where each sub-array comprises one or more radiating elements; a second level phase shifter, wherein the second level phase shifter is configured to proportionally change the phases of the radiating elements in the corresponding sub-arrays; and a power divider, wherein the power divider is connected between the first level phase shifter and the second level phase shifter. The phase shifter assembly has the advantages of both a distributed phase shifter network and a lumped phase shifter network. Specifically, the phase shifter assemblies can independently control the phases of the radiating elements in the array to obtain better sidelobe suppression. Further, phase control parts of the phase shifter are concentrated within a certain physical space range, so the size of the phase shifter assembly may be greatly decreased, and the cost may be greatly reduced, as compared with a conventional distributed phase shifter assembly design.

A plurality of received signals transmitted by a user equipment from a plurality of antenna elements in a cellular network are obtained, and a plurality of complex channel values are calculated in an angle domain for a horizontal arrival angle and a vertical arrival angle per a received ray in a plurality of received rays in response to the plurality of received signals. An expected value of the plurality of channel values are calculated to obtain a power value for the horizontal arrival angle and vertical arrival angle having a time delay per the received ray.
