    • A window lighting system for a building structure curtain wall is provided with a housing sized to be received upon a structural member, with an opening facing the window. A refracting lens is mounted adjacent the opening. A plurality of longitudinally spaced discrete light sources are positioned in the housing, each oriented towards the refracting lens such that the light is conveyed to the refracting lens and subsequently out of the housing opening for illuminating the window. A lighting system is provided with the housing sized to extend along the window upon a cover of a structural member between a pair of sequential structure members. A lighting system cover is supported by the housing for concealing the light source and providing an ornamental appearance similar to that of the cover of the underlying structural member without obfuscating an ornamental appearance of the window and the structure members.

    • An adjustable support device (10) for a structure, including an arcuate support bar (26) terminating in feet (28) for engagement with a ground surface. Two spaced apart locking mechanisms (30) are pivotally connected to the structure. The arcuate support bar (26) extends between engagement rods (36a, 36b) of the locking mechanisms (30). The locking mechanisms (30) are pivotally moveable between a first position, in which a stop member (38) prevents further pivotal movement in one direction such that the engagement rods (36a, 36b) are positioned to allow the arcuate support bar (26) to slide freely over the engagement rods (36a, 36b), and a second position, when weight is applied to the locking mechanisms (30). In the second position, the engagement rods (36a, 36b) lock against the arcuate support bar (26) to prevent sliding movement there through for supporting the structure in a required orientation.

    • Apparatus, systems, and methods are described for detecting moisture on a mattress cover. Conductive leads affixed to the mattress cover are configured in loop patterns, and adjacent conductive loops are positioned equidistant to one another to provide equal sensitivity to moisture at any location on the mattress cover. A quick-release connector allows the conductive leads to be quickly connected to an electrical monitoring circuit. The continuity of each conductive lead is periodically checked using a test signal. Moisture is detected by applying a different voltage level to adjacent conductive leads and measuring the current flowing between the leads. When moisture or a broken conductive lead is detected, an alarm signal is communicated to an attendant. The alarm signal is repeated at periodic intervals until the electrical monitoring circuit detects that the alarm condition has been corrected. The attendant's response time is recorded for future performance evaluations.
