摘要： The technology described herein relates to a method of generating an encoded output video frame for transmission to an electronic display in which an encoded source video frame is decoded to obtain a decoded source video frame 200a, the decoded source video frame200a is processed to obtain an input video frame200c, and the input video frame200c is encoded to obtain an encoded output video frame for transmission. The method comprises comparing a region of an input video frame 200c with a region of a decoded source video frame200a from which decoded source video frame the input video frame has been obtained, to determine if the region of the decoded source video frame200ais similar to the region of the input video frame200c, and if it is determined that the region of the decoded source video frame200a is similar to the region of the input video frame200c, using a region of the encoded source video frame that corresponds to the region of the decoded source video frame as a region of the encoded output video frame for transmission that corresponds to the region of the input video frame.
