摘要： A spectrometer for detecting an electromagnetic (EM) wave spectrum having one or more wavelength components within a spectral band of interest, a method of detecting an electromagnetic (EM) wave spectrum having one or more wavelength components within a spectral band of interest, and a method of constructing the spectrometer. The method comprises the steps of creating dispersed images of an entrance aperture on a plane of an exit aperture, such that respective images at the different wavelength components are offset by different amounts of displacements along a direction of dispersion; gathering a first EM wave energy incident on the entrance aperture to an EM detector; gathering a second EM wave energy that exits the exit aperture to the at least one single-pixel detector; and measuring the output of the EM detector and the output of the at least one single pixel detector for reconstructing the EM wave spectrum taking into account an intensity distribution of an incident EM wave on the entrance aperture.

In one embodiment, the method comprises the steps of providing a first single pixel detector sensitive to infrared light in a first spectral range; providing an entrance slit for receiving an infrared light signal; disposing a moveable encoding mask between the entrance slit and the first single pixel detector for encoding based multiplexing, the moveable encoding mask comprising at least three adjacent coding sections along an encoding moving direction thereof, each coding section comprising the same coding pattern in a cyclic manner such that a last encoding step of one encoding section is the same as a first encoding step in a next encoding section step; disposing a dispersion and imaging optics between the entrance slit and the moveable encoding mask for dispersing the infrared signal and for imaging the dispersed infrared signal onto the moveable encoding mask; disposing a collection optics between the moveable encoding mask and the first single pixel detector for collecting an encoding based multiplexed version of the infrared signal onto the first single pixel photodetector; selectively allowing only one of at least first and second bands within the first spectral range to be imaged onto respective ones of the coding sections excluding a first coding section along the encoding moving direction of the moveable encoding mask, in a starting position of the moveable encoding mask; and moving the moveable encoding mask in the encoding moving direction for the encoding based multiplexing.

摘要： The disclosure relates to multifunctional sensors for mobile applications, namely to a miniature optical sensor for remote micro- and macro-object detection and characterization. The disclosure makes it possible to reduce the size of the sensor, this provides for surface mount of the sensor in any microcircuit of a mobile device. The sensor is multifunctional, low-power, vibration-resistant. The sensor comprises at least one pair consisting of a radiation source and a corresponding radiation receiver, an optical circuit including a collimating element, a first optical element, a second optical element. The first optical element and the second optical element are interconnected by a common surface, the common surface being a semitransparent surface. The sensor may be used simultaneously as a microphone, a dust sensor, a lidar, and a photoplethysmogram (PPG) sensor.

摘要： The present disclosure discloses an apparatus for determining characteristics of a fluid. The apparatus includes a visible light producing LED array, an optical system, and a microcontroller. In the apparatus, the visible light producing LED array emits light and produces a light beam for irradiating an object. Further, in the apparatus, the optimal system includes a grating to receive irradiated light from the object through a collimator and disperse the light into wavelengths, a focusing lens and a linear image sensor arranged at a focal plane of the focusing lens to convert the light by the grating and focused by the focusing lens, into electrical signals. Lastly, in the apparatus, the microcontroller is connected to the sensor and processes the electrical signals and communicates for processing.

According to the method, the processing unit (20) is configured to operate said variation (906) of the frequency of the laser beam emitted by the laser device (11), based on the pressure conditions of the fluid sited in the collection chamber (12).

A field lens between the focusing optic and the detector has a freeform surface for more evenly distributing the wavenumbers along the array of pixels.
