62 LCD wherein opening in source electrode overlaps gate electrode to compensate variations in parasitic capacitance US09329559 1999-06-10 US06310668B1 2001-10-30 Tooru Ukita
In a liquid crystal display device, a TFT is formed on a first transparent insulation substrate and includes: a semiconductor layer formed adjacent to a gate insulation film; a drain and a source electrode both formed in opposite ends of the semiconductor layer; and, a gate electrode formed in the gate insulation film so as to be disposed in a partially overlapping relationship with both the drain and the source electrode. The source electrode has a source notch portion which satisfies a predetermined equation to compensate for variations in parasitic capacitance appearing between the source and the gate electrode. The device prevents both its responsivity and its aperture ratio from deteriorating and also prevents its leakage current from increasing. The device is free from any possible restrictions caused by a specific construction of the TFT used in the device.

One aspect of the invention relates to a method for reconstructing the spatial distribution of a reflection coefficient for waves in a sample body, comprising the following steps: parameterizing the sample body by means of N volume elements; determining M different measurement configurations of an emitting device and an associated receiving device; defining the number T of measurement points; setting up M path matrices G [1], wherein the possible paths of reflected or scattered waves are encoded in the i-th path matrix; registering M series of measurements, wherein an excitation signal a [i] is fed to the emitting device in the i-th series of measurements, and the associated receiving device (5) registers a series of measurements x [i]; calculating a predictive differential vector Δ x = x- G- s [n], which contains the difference between the elements of the M registered series of measurements x [i] and the predictable series of measurements G [i] tj-s [n] j; minimizing a norm of the predictive differential vector || Δ x ||; and providing the reflection coefficients s [n]. The invention also relates to an apparatus for carrying out the method.
65 Method for reworkable packaging of high speed, low electrical parasitic power electronics modules through gate drive integration US14100288 2013-12-09 US09407251B1 2016-08-02 Brandon Passmore; Zach Cole; Bret Whitaker; Adam Barkley; Ty McNutt; Alexander Lostetter
A multichip power module directly connecting the busboard to a printed-circuit board that is attached to the power substrate enabling extremely low loop inductance for extreme environments such as high temperature operation. Wire bond interconnections are taught from the power die directly to the busboard further enabling enable low parasitic interconnections. Integration of on-board high frequency bus capacitors provide extremely low loop inductance. An extreme environment gate driver board allows close physical proximity of gate driver and power stage to reduce overall volume and reduce impedance in the control circuit. Parallel spring-loaded pin gate driver PCB connections allows a reliable and reworkable power module to gate driver interconnections.

71 Crossbar device with reduced parasitic capacitive loading and usage of crossbar devices in reconfigurable circuits US10043964 2002-01-10 US06874136B2 2005-03-29 Frederic Reblewski; Olivier Lepape
A crossbar device includes a first set of input lines and a second set of output lines. A plurality of chains of pass transistors are provided to selectively couple the input lines to the output lines in a reduced parasitic capacitive loading manner. Further, memory elements and decoder logic are provided to facilitate control of the selective coupling. Additionally, a low power application of multiple crossbar devices to a reconfigurable circuit block is improved by having each memory element of a crossbar device be provided with a supply voltage higher by a Vth to maintain the input voltage of corresponding output buffers at Vdd. Further, an application of multiple crossbar devices to a reconfigurable circuit block is improved by coupling a control circuitry via a control line to all output buffers of the interconnected crossbar devices to force the output buffers to a known state at power-on.

75 Integrated circuit having an interlevel interconnect coupled to a source/drain region(s) with source/drain region(s) boundary overlap and reduced parasitic capacitance US73639 1998-05-06 US6146978A 2000-11-14 Mark W. Michael; Robert Dawson; H. Jim Fulford, Jr.; Mark I. Gardner; Frederick N. Hause; Bradley T. Moore; Derick J. Wristers
An interlevel interconnect is formed in a window opened through an isolation layer and through an etch barrier to expose an electrode surface and an adjacent isolation barrier. The interlevel interconnect may be disposed on substantially all of a portion of the underlying electrode such as an insulated gate field effect transistor (IGFET) source/drain region surface. The etch barrier provides controlled etching to allow for overlap of the interlevel interconnect onto the isolation barrier without increased parasitic capacitance relative to conventional contact misalignments. Furthermore, allaying concerns of overlapping allows for increased utilization of source/drain region surface area by the interlevel interconnect. Furthermore, the etch barrier allows the interlevel interconnect to strap electrodes of a plurality of circuit devices while exhibiting nominal if any substrate to interlevel interconnect leakage currents.
