A magnetic stripe card (10) with an encoded card number including a bank identification number (14) and an account number (16) is issued to a customer with a value selectable by the customer. The central card processor (66) establishes a zero balance database including the card numbers (17), but with blank fields for the customer data and the value of the account (78). When a customer purchases a card, the sales agent (40) transmits to the central database computer (45) which fills in the blanks in the database (46), activating the account, and transmits an acknowledgement. The card can be immediately used in ATM (50) or other remote terminals to acquire cash or purchase goods and services. The customer inputs a PIN number which is provided with the card, or an alternative PIN number selected by the customer.

Computer-implemented methods for vending at least one cosmetic product to a first consumer. A real-time image of a portion of a body of the consumer is captured using a personal computational device and the consumer provides a desired makeup look via the personal computational device. The desired makeup look is then applied to an image of the portion of the body of the consumer, thereby generating a composite image of the portion of the body of the first consumer with the desired makeup look, and a retail order for the cosmetic product is received from the consumer. The order may be received before or after the consumer's image is captured. Another consumer, or a product specialist, may be involved in the aforesaid process via a computer communications link.

87 Systems and Methods for Monetizing Recyclable Plastics US13195783 2011-08-01 US20130024252A1 2013-01-24 Jeremy David Sicklick; Eran Conforty
The present invention relates to systems and method for monetization of recyclable plastics. Such systems includes a receptacle for receiving fungitized plastics, such as plastic ingots. The fungitized plastic can have a standardized form with a known value that is readily exchangeable for credit, discounts, or currency. Sensors are capable of identifying the fungitized plastic as substantially comporting to the standardized form, thereby confirming the plastic's composition, and weight/size in order to facilitate sorting and proper crediting for its value. The sensors can also identify fungitized plastics that do not match these standards, which are considered counterfeits and are returned to the user. A sorter collects all the identified fungitized plastic of a particular composition together with other plastic of similar composition. Similarly, a crediting system may reward the user for depositing the identified fungitized plastic. The reward may include printing out promotions or vouchers, credits applied to a debit or credit card via a magnetic card reader, applying credit via a mobile phone application, or an account linked to the user credited with currency or points.
88 Management of Multiple Advertising Inventories Using a Monetization Platform US12485787 2009-06-16 US20100063877A1 2010-03-11 Adam Soroca; Neal J. Karasic
In embodiments of the present invention improved capabilities are described for delivery of a sponsored content to a mobile communication facility user. In embodiments, a request may be received for a sponsored content from a publisher, and one or more content inventories may be searched for a content that is relevant to the request. Content may be selected for delivery to the publisher from one or more content inventory. The content may be selected based at least in part on a relevance between the content and the request. The content, and the content inventory from which the relevant content is chosen, may be selected based at least in part on a statistical weight relating to the amount of revenue a wireless operator may realize upon presentation of the content to a mobile communication facility.

90 Monetizing Remote Gas Using High Energy Materials US12990932 2009-04-09 US20110059001A1 2011-03-10 Bruce T. Kelley; Harry W. Deckman; Stephen Mark Davis; Frank Hershkowitz
The present application is directed to a method and system for monetizing energy. More specifically, the invention is directed to the economically efficient utilization of remote or stranded natural gas resources. The invention includes importing a high energy density material into an energy market and distributing the high energy density material (HEDM) therein. The HEDM is produced from reduction of a material oxide such as boria into the HEDM, which may be boron. The reduction utilizes remote hydrocarbon resources such as stranded natural gas resources.

92 MONETIZING DOWNLOADABLE FILES BASED ON RESOLVING CUSTODIANSHIP THEREOF TO REFERRING PUBLISHER AND PRESENTATION OF MONETIZED CONTENT IN A MODAL OVERLAY CONTEMPORANEOUSLY WITH DOWNLOAD PCT/US2014044941 2014-06-30 WO2015002899A2 2015-01-08 KIRKEBY CYNTHIA FASCENELLI
The monetization of downloadable files associated with a custodial host site based on resolving custodianship to a referrer publisher with subsequent presentation of monetized content within a modal overlay is disclosed. A request from a client device has a resource identifier and a referrer publisher identifier. The request for the downloadable file is evaluated against one or more publisher and custodianship policy rules, which relate to a file extension of the downloadable file, a format of the resource identifier, a custodial domain on which the downloadable file is stored, and a referral domain as specified in the referrer publisher identifier. When custodianship is resolved, a modal overlay on which monetized content is incorporated is presented on the client device. The modal overlay is concurrently displayed with the transfer of the downloadable file to the client device.
93 System and method for monetizing internet usage US11594306 2006-11-07 US20070078718A1 2007-04-05 David Gorodyansky
Toolbar incorporating software that collects, analyzes and protects information on user preferences determined based on user's online activities. Advertising is targeted to each user, while user's privacy is protected by storing all personal information on user's local computer. The toolbar permits advertisers to advertise without paying fees until advertising brings actual revenue. The toolbar also provides means for giving incentives to users by allocating to users portion of generated revenue back to user. To this end, the toolbar may involve one or more of the following: web search engine interface with cost-per-action revenue model, web browsing monetization engine, advanced advertising engine and engine for tracking accumulated user's rewards. In one implementation, once advertiser generates revenue from displayed advertising material, percentage of generated revenue is provided back to users. The described concept is not limited only to toolbar and may be alternatively implemented as portal or in any other suitable platform.

97 Bitumen monetization using a novel processing sequence US10372081 2003-02-25 US20040164001A1 2004-08-26 William George Rhodey
This invention monetizes bitumen reserves utilizing proven refining processes to ultimately produce, primarily, high quality refined oil products. At the same time, a unique operating sequence and mode of operation produces precursors, the primary building blocks, for the petrochemical, fertilizer and energy co-products markets. Essentially, in producing refined oil products, the feedstock requirements of associated industries are satisfied in such a manner that the integration of these entities produces a higher rate of return for the combined entity than the sum of each of the individual entities. Furthermore, the process is tailored with broad functionality as to be able to nulldial for profitnull dependent upon the agreed upon business for the integrated facility specific to a certain geographical area. A further and important inclusion is the use of processes to attain zero emissions of environmental deleterious substances i.e. a profitable use for all co-products during processing.

Hosted content received from media hosts is used to generate a set of fingerprints representing the hosted content. The fingerprints representing the hosted content are compared to a set of fingerprints representing reference content submitted by content owners to generate one or more match metrics. Based on the match metrics, the media host may provide indication that they accept policy terms specified by the content owners, including revenue sharing terms. If the media host accepts the revenue sharing terms, the media host may provide advertising content to viewers in association with the hosted content matching the reference content. Funds received from providing advertising content are distributed to the media host and the content owner according to the revenue sharing terms.
