147 A descaling apparatus for steel tubes of the building scaffold GB202019358 2020-12-09 GB2587165A 2021-03-17 QIANHAN ZHUANG
A scaffold tube descaling apparatus comprises a bottom panel 1, a working table 11, a movable pushing base 2 mounted on the bottom panel 1 able to move lengthways along guide rails 161 and to stabilise a scaffolding pole in clamping hoops 23. The working table 11 houses several forward rust-scraping rings 3 with several forward scrapers (33, figure 6) and several reverse rust-scraping rings 4 with several reverse scrapers (43, figure 6), each comprising at least two wheels or rollers 51 which are abutted against the scaffold tube for support, the above forming several sets of rolling assemblies 5 and being controlled by a driving member comprising a drive motor (6, figure 6), transmission shaft (13, figure 6) and intermediate shaft (17, figure 6) operating via gears and pulleys. This enables a better rust-removal effect and is more labour saving when in manual operation.

149 TYRE BUFFING MACHINE CHEVRON RASP BLADE WITH WORKING EDGES PART OF AN ELLIPSE NZ26427194 1994-08-19 NZ264271A 1995-09-26 JENSEN WAYNE
A tire rasp blade for use in a tire buffing machine having a rotating hub. A set of rasp blades (10) is arranged in a plurality of circumferential rows. Each of the blades has a non-planar elongated body (12) with generally planar portions (14,16), and an arcuate working edge (20) having teeth (22) which extend in a direction generally parallel to the direction of hub rotation. The working edge includes two elliptical-shaped segments (24,26).

152 TIRE RASP BLADE AU5390990 1990-04-27 AU5390990A 1990-11-01 NAME NOT GIVEN
A tire rasp blade (22) is provided with an elongated planar body (32) having a working portion (34) comprising a plurality of uniformly and closely spaced teeth (40) which define an arcuate working perimeter (35). Each of the teeth (40) has a base (43) and a working edge (41) and is separated from neighboring teeth generally elliptical primary cutouts (54) which are oriented normal to the tangent of the working perimeter (35). The teeth (40) are preferrably monolithic and of a uniform size and shape, and are both angularly set and laterally displaced relative to the plane of the blade body (32).

An assembly capable of use in removing material from both ends of an elongated workpiece, such as a bar incorporates two similar pieces of apparatus of a known kind. Each apparatus has a cutter mounted at one end of a flexible drive and rotatable by a motor about its own axis to effect removal of the material; the cutter is supported in a universal mounting enabling the cutter to swing in a closed path about the axis of the cutter. The cutter is biased inwards towards the axis. The invention provides positioning means for moving the cutters aside into loading positions so that a finished workpiece can be removed laterally and a new one introduced laterally. The positioning means on each apparatus includes means for shifting the motor towards the universal mounting so as to cause the flexible drive to bow more markedly and move the cutter further from the axis, and a deflector for engaging the cutter-end of the flexible drive and moving it to its loading position. Restraining means restrains the bodily rotational movement of the flexible drive to steady the orbiting travel of the cutter.

160 APPARATUS FOR CHAMFERING TABLETS GB4009472 1972-08-29 GB1345990A 1974-02-06
1345990 Grinding; filing SHIONOGI & CO Ltd 29 Aug 1972 [29 March 1972] 40094/72 Addition to 1268477 Headings B3D and B3L [Also in Divisions A5 and B5] An apparatus for chamfering tablets comprises a frame F supporting a rotatable disc 1 having a grinding or abrading surface, and a guiding member 5 for the tablets consisting of two working segments 51, 53 which have a plurality of grooved channels open towards the surface and intersecting the direction of movement of the surface at an angle other than a right angle, the segments being one at each end of an intermediate segment 52 having grooved channels for passing the tablets from one segment 51 to the other 53, the channels in the first segment guiding the tablets so that one of their sharp edges are abraded by the surface, the channels in the intermediate section being shaped to receive the tablets from the first segment and pass then to the second segment the channels of which guide the tablets so that the second of the sharp edges are abraded by the surface. The frame F supports the disc to rotate about an inclined axis, the surface of the disc being abrasive or in the form of a file. The guiding member 5 is held slightly spaced above the abrading surface and consists of a body having the three segment 51, 52, 53 and five grooved channels 61-65. The channels are equidistantly spaced and in the working segments 51, 53 have their centre lines spirally shaped so that at every point along it each line makes an angle of 40 degrees with the tangents of every circle constituting the disc. The tablets, which may be formed in a tableting press and have a circular shape with convex ends producing two circular shape edges, are fed to the inlets 71-75 of the grooved channels in the first working segment 51 through passages 91-95 in a tablet aligning means 9. The grooved channels in the first segment guide the tablets in an inclined position as they move along the channels under the force of gravity and by engagement with the abrading surface of the disc so that one of the sharp edges is removed. The inclination of the tablets may be varied in their passage through the segment so that the edge is rounded. The channels in the intermediate segment reverse the inclination of the tablets so that the other sharp edge is abraded as the tablets move along the channels in the second working segment 53.
