21 TWO-TIER CAN PACKAGE HAVING DIVIDER PANEL AND METHOD OF FORMING THE SAME PCT/US1998/011861 1998-06-08 WO98056684A1 1998-12-17
A collapsed carton for subsequent setup to receive articles includes top and bottom panels and a pair of side panels. End closure flaps extend from opposite side edges of each of the side panels to close the tubular carton when set up. A divider panel is disposed within the tubular structure between the top and bottom panels. A pair of glue flaps are foldably connected to the divider panel side edges, each of the glue flaps being secured to an inner surface of one of the side panels to retain the divider panel within the tubular structure. At least one divider end flap is foldably connected to one of the divider panel end edges. A first aperture is defined through one divider end flap. A second aperture is defined through one of the end closure flaps at one of the tubular ends of the carton to coincide with the first aperture when the carton is collapsed.
22 Blank and packaging for pack of pots with connection/deformation sections US14461471 2014-08-18 US09586739B2 2017-03-07 Fabien Jego
A blank includes: a top panel, two side panels, a base panel, a closure panel, and a securing member for closing the erected blank on itself, four sets of corner post panels each extending from a side panel and able to be erected to form corner posts, a receiving portion extending over a portion of the base panel, for receiving the bottom walls of pots, delimited transversely by two intermediate base score lines which define, with the ends of the base panel, two connection/deformation sections on either side of the receiving portion. The intermediate base score lines form two deformable hinges, so that the receiving portion can be moved relative to the ends of the base panel along a vertical axis after formation of the packaging and the pack.
23 Basket-style carrier with non-collapsing end panels US687236 1996-07-25 US5709298A 1998-01-20 Randall L. Harris
A basket-style carrier. The end panels are formed of overlapping end panel sections, the outer section of which is foldably connected to an upper portion of a central handle panel and the inner section of which is foldably connected to a lower portion of the handle panel. This results in an end panel formation which does not tend to collapse after a collapsed carrier is erected and also makes the carrier more rigid by tying in the full extent of the handle panel to the end panels.
24 Individual aperture--continuous zip strip US608522 1996-02-28 US5642808A 1997-07-01 Leslie S. Marco; Robert C. Olsen
A carrier device for carrying a plurality of containers, such as bottles, cans and the like, includes novel zip strips which can be selectively separated from the carrier device so that the containers held by the carrier device can be easily removed from the carrier device. The carrier device includes container engaging portions, each of which includes bands which define apertures therein for engaging the side walls of the containers to hold the containers therein to form a package. Each container engaging portion has a continuous outer margin portion. Each zip strip is positioned on the respective outer margin portion. The zip strip is separated from the remainder of the carrier device by a series of perforation lines, elongated slits and openings, along which the zip strip can be torn.
25 Basket-style article carrier US310126 1994-09-21 US5458234A 1995-10-17 Randall L. Harris
A basket-style carrier which exposes much of the end packaged articles. The carrier has narrow side panels which, with partition straps, form article receiving cells. End cells are formed by the partition straps, side straps extending out from the side panels and end straps connected to the side straps. The partition straps and the end straps are connected to a central support panel, which includes a handle panel portion. The end straps and side straps contact only small portions of the articles, allowing the remainder of the end articles to be viewed.
26 Enclosed basket-style carrier US933435 1992-08-21 US5234103A 1993-08-10 Richard L. Schuster
A basket-style carrier having a top panel for enclosing the carrier. The top panel comprises flaps foldably connected to the side panels which contain openings through which a top portion of articles packaged in the carrier extend. The flaps also include at least one fold line extending parallel to the side panels, allowing the flaps to be folded over so that their free ends extend to and contact the center partition of the carrier. This biases the top panel flap edges against the center partition and an edge of the opening against the underside of flanges or other transversely extending projections of the articles packaged in the carrier. The handle in a center partition may be designed as a three-ply reinforced handle.
27 Heel retaining structure on bottle carrier US636579 1984-08-01 US4533047A 1985-08-06 Rodney K. Calvert
An economical mechanically strong bottle carrier of the wrap around type having top, bottom and side walls interconnected to form a tubular open ended structure is provided with bottle engaging and carrier reinforcing flaps which are associated with certain bottle heel receiving apertures at the carrier corners are arranged so as effectively to prevent dislodgment of the bottles from the open ended tubular structure and which in addition constiute significant reinforcement for the corners of the carrier so that the carrier formed of light weight paperboard is of sufficient mechanical strength whereby rupture of the carrier is prevented and secure retention of bottles is effected.
28 Tapered cup package US493881 1983-05-12 US4489880A 1984-12-25 Rodney K. Calvert
A package (10) of the wrap-around type including a wrapper (12) formed from paperboard or similar foldable sheet material and accommodating containers arranged in two parallel rows, which package comprises a keel construction (32) providing support for each container and separating one row of containers from the other row, said keel construction being released by cuts from a base panel (14) of the wrapper and including a separator platform (34) held substantially parallel to said base panel by a plurality of support legs (36-42; 60-64) each of which is hinged to the base panel and to one side of the separator platform.

The plurality of panels can comprise a first top panel foldably connected to a second top panel and a back panel. The second top panel can be oblique with respect to the first top panel and the back panel. A crown retention feature can be in the back panel adjacent the first top panel for at least partially receiving a top portion of a first article of the plurality of articles. A crown receiving opening can be in the second top panel spaced apart from the first top panel for at least partially receiving a top portion of a second article of the plurality of articles so that the top portion of the second article extends at least partially through the crown receiving opening.

The plurality of panels can comprise a top panel, at least one side panel, and at least one bottom panel. At least one retention tab can be foldably connected to the at least one bottom panel. The at least one retention tab can be for engaging at least a portion of an article of the plurality of articles. At least one corner flap can be foldably connected to the at least one side panel. Each of the at least one retention tab and the at least one corner flap can be disposed adjacent to at least one corner opening in the carton.
40 Keel and lock for wraparound article carrier US698059 1985-02-04 US4574997A 1986-03-11 Tamio Ikeda
A keel for a wraparound carrier in which lap panels at the ends of a wrapper blank are secured together in overlapping face contacting relation to form a tubular structure for packaging two rows of articles includes a separating tab struck from the inner lap panel and folded inwardly together with a shouldered locking tab adjoined to the outer one of the lap panels and which is driven through the aperture defined in the inner lap panel by the separating tab so as to cause the locking tab to occupy a position of face contacting relation with the separating tab and with the separating tab and the locking tab disposed in substantially normal relation to the lap panels to form a two-ply keel for separating an article in one row from an oppositely disposed adjacent article disposed in another row.
