21 CONTROL DEVICE FOR PATTERN REED IN RASCHEL KNITTING MACHINE JP34881398 1998-12-08 JP2000170066A 2000-06-20 SASAKI ETSUZO
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject control device designed to plurally divide in a ring-fashion the boundary edge face between a slide mobile body and a rotary slide mobile body to decrease working surface area to increase lubricating oil feedability so as to prevent the smooth motion restraint due to long-term service and accuracy errors. SOLUTION: This control device is so designed that the boundary edge face 20 between a slide mobile body A1 and a rotary slide mobile body A2 is divided into at least two ring-fashion to form contact edge faces 120, 120a which are then provided with basal faces 121, 121a, working faces 122, 122a, and slope faces 123, 123a, respectively, and the working faces 122, 122a are circumferentially disposed at specified positions, respectively, so as to come into mutual contact to decrease the respective areas of the working surfaces 122, 122a, avoid stress concentration, raise lubricating oil feedability, and thereby reduce both abrasion and skid resistance.

Longitudinal weft guides, as well as other weft guides and/or thread guides are placed relative to the hook needles and to the corresponding thread guides in a knitting machine. In order to simply to drive thereof, the drive devices for the bars (22,24) of the longitudinal weft guides as well as the drive device for the bar (32) of the thread guides are arranged together on one side of the machine frame and are combined. To this end, a common drive shaft is provided for oscillating levers of the drive to the longitudinal weft guides and another oscillating lever for the thread guides.

The present invention relates to a device for gathering a portion of an article made of fabric and/or non-woven fabric for the stable retention of said portion in said gathered position, consisting of ribbon-shaped and/or cord-like elements slidable within seatings formed for the purpose in the fabric. Said ribbon-shaped and/or cord-like elements comprise a first element, restrained at one end within said seating, connected to a second element protruding freely from said seating, such connection being made at two portions of the two elements, the portion of one of said elements being moreover larger than that of the other and said larger portion having a first rigid lamina at least partially restrained to it.

An embroidery device for crochet machines of the type having a looper arrangement and with a reciprocable needle bar for moving its needles into operative association with guide needles driven in an orbital pathway for loading warp threads carried thereby onto the needles of the needle bar. A plurality of bars driven in a rectangular pathway support tube elements through which weft threads are guided for linking them with the chains formed by warp threads. One of the rectangularly driven bars carries a plurality of guide tubes through which embroidery threads are guided. These guide tubes are also operatively connected to a supplementary vertical drive movement created by the pulling action of flexible members interconnecting the guide tubes with individual pulling elements. A pattern control unit is operatively connected to the pulling elements which are effective in causing the embroidery threads individual to each element to become linked within a chain so that it will not show on the fabric being formed or it is linked between two continuous chains when it is desired that it appear on the surface as part of a pre-selected design.

PCT No. PCT/CH85/00019 Sec. 371 Date Dec. 19, 1985 Sec. 102(e) Date Dec. 19, 1985 PCT Filed Feb. 6, 1985 PCT Pub. No. WO85/04911 PCT Pub. Date Nov. 7, 1985.In a warp knitting machine, warp stitch rows are formed from warp threads which are held together at least by a weft thread. Patterned threads are applied to the warp rows and are fed in a manner similar to the warp threads. For this purpose, a warp thread guide (18) and pattern thread guides (24) are positioned in front of the knitting needles and are moved over the knitting needles. At the sections of the knitting which are to receive a pattern, the pattern threads are applied on top of the warp threads resting in the needles and are knitted together. At the locations where no pattern is desired, controlled thread retainers prevent the insertion or threading of the pattern threads into the knitting needles and hence the knitting of the pattern threads in with the warp threads does not take place. At the pattern-free locations, the pattern threads are simply inserted into the warp stitch rows.

The invention can be used for producing jacquard-patterned fabrics on warp knitting machines equipped with a row of sliding-tongue (compound) needles, a bar of guide needles for supplying the knitting threads, at least one laying-in bar and a plurality of patterning-yarn guides per needle, are adjustable within the gauge setting and constructed as swing-jacks and are controllable by a selection element each against the action of a spring each. The invention has for its purpose to broaden the field of use of the warp knitting machine in respect of the fineness and number of patterning yarns and to enhance the reliability. This is achieved according to the invention when the selection elements and/or the springs are connected to the swing-jacks by a thin belt each which encloses in loop fashion a part of the sinker (swing-jack) which has a smaller wall thickness than the body of the sinker.
