PURPOSE:To obtain an automatic mining machine which can correspond to various kinds of mining modes by providing a head capable of adjusting revolution in directions of up and down, right and left, perpendicular and equipped with the driving mechanism and turning mechanism inside it so that it is capable of adjusting up-and-down movements. CONSTITUTION:A head 6 equipped with a chain saw 8 is approached toward a mining rock by making a traveling device 2 operate. After that, a moving frame body 4 is moved to a mining position in the rock and is made to adjust right and left movements, and a lengthwise longer substrate 5 is projected and adjusted in the front and rear direction to approach the chain saw 8 nearer to the rock. In addition, angle adjustments in directions of up and down, right and left and perpendicular of the head and angle adjustments in the perpendicular direction of the chain saw 8 are made. The chain saw 8 is rotated and driven, and cutting work is started while making a machine frame 1 advance and retreat. According to the constitution, manpower is saved and, at the same time, mining efficiency (productivity) is promoted.

Cutting teeth (120) are mounted in bores in this angled surface (124) that are themselves angled relative to each other and to the direction of movement of the links when the links are pivotally linked to a plurality of other links to form an endless chain (33) for a chain-milling device (35). The structure of the teeth and the links are designed to cooperate with each other to increase the durability and penetrating power of the teeth as the teeth encounter rock formations during trenching operations.

The invention relates to a device for loosening and transporting coal, comprising a inner conveying throughs and inner excavating throughs and a driven peripheral chain haulage guided by means of direction-changing devices, excavating bodies (6) being attached to said chain haulage. The mining bodies (6) have a middle piece (13) and guide pieces (11, 12) articulated thereto by means of pivoting axes (16), one (11) of said guide pieces being mounted in the front and the other (12) being mounted in the back. The pivoting axes of said guide pieces are inclined against each other at a given angle of inclination so that bend-free rotation of the excavating bodies and particularly the guide pieces thereof is ensured in the transition areas from translational to rotational guidance and from rotational to translational guidance in the area of the direction-changing devices.
