摘要： To determine air mass flows, especially for controlling internal combustion engines, a hot-film air-mass sensor is provided, which may be used especially for sensing air mass flows in the intake tract of an internal combustion engine. The hot-film air-mass sensor has a sensor chip having a sensor frame and a sensor diaphragm having at least one heating element and at least two temperature sensors. Furthermore, the hot-film air-mass sensor has a chip carrier for mounting the sensor chip, as well as at least one additional heating element. The sensor chip is able to be heated up using the at least one additional heating element, which is inserted into the chip carrier. Compared to the usual devices, the hot-film air-mass sensor has a lower susceptibility to contamination, especially by oil films.

摘要： To realize a control apparatus for an internal combustion engine having a heating resistor type air flow rate measuring apparatus which can effectively remove salinity adhered to the heating resistor. Salt adheres not only to the heating portion of a heating resistor but also to lead members and supporting members. When a certain time period is passed after the current supply to the heating resistor is stopped, the salt adhered thereto absorbs moisture in the air by deliquescence, and becomes salt water near the heating resistor and the support members etc. Then, suction air flows through an auxiliary air passage by the cranking of the engine to disperse the salt water adhered not only to the support member parts but also to the heating resistor. Thus, even if the heating resistor is supplied with current after the dissipation, salt components do not remain on the heating resistor.

In the thermal air flow rate measuring apparatus, sensitivity is enhanced by sensors having different output characteristics and an operating means employing a digitized signal, and the sensitivity and temperature can be corrected easily depending on the flow direction of fluid. The measuring apparatus comprises at least one heating resistor disposed in a gas fluid, temperature detecting resistors formed at an upstream part and a downstream part of the heating resistor in the flow direction of the fluid, a means for outputting at least two signals relating to the flow rate of the fluid, a quantizing means for quantizing the output values, and an operating means for operating the flow rate based on the quantized signals.

The system includes a processing circuit having an input and an output. A voltage signal from the heated element is connected to the input of the processing circuit. The processing circuit reads a plurality of temporally spaced input signals as data from the processing circuit input during the startup time period. The processing circuit then computes the parameters of a transfer function corresponding to the data on its input. The processing circuit then calculates a contamination correction factor as a function of at least one parameter of the transfer function. The processing circuit then utilizes the correction factor to modify a measured gas flow rate by the gas flow meter after the heated element attains the elevated steady state temperature to compensate for contamination of the heated element.

摘要： To offer a mass airflow measuring apparatus in which the effect of the adhesion onto the heating resistor caused while the engine is off is reduced and the measuring accuracy is improved. The apparatus measures the mass airflow of the air sucked into the internal combustion engine, using the heating resistor 1. The power control circuit 4 maintains the heating resistor 1 temperature equal to or higher than the temperature during the operation of the internal combustion engine after the internal combustion engine has stopped and until the temperature of the internal combustion engine and its apparatuses installed in the suction system has lowered below the generation temperature of volatile gas such as oil vapor. The power control circuit 4, using the temperature sensing resistor 2 that detects the temperature of the air sucked into the combustion engine, detects the air temperature and maintains the heating resistor 1 temperature, based on the temperature measured, equal to or higher than the temperature during the operation of the internal combustion engine even after the internal combustion engine has stopped.

When the limiting value is exceeded, a trigger signal is emitted to initiate the free-burning operation in order to burn free the resistor (8).
