摘要： The invention relates to a hydraulic wheel set press for the simultaneous pressing of two wheel (1, 2) or brake disks on a wheel axis (3) having a frame construction (4) mounted on a base (5), said frame construction being comprised of two identical vertical press stands (6, 7) connected to one another in a fixed manner at a mutual distance via horizontal traverses (8, 9). The press stands (6, 7) each have a housing (10, 11) serving to accommodate a centering cylinder (12) engaging the wheel axis (3) on one end (14 15). In addition, a press cylinder (13) is provided concentrically to the centering cylinder (12). said press cylinder engaging the wheel (1, 2) or brake disk to be pressed, as well as control devices (22) for loading each of the two cylinders (12, 13) with a pressure medium. Measurement devices (20, 21) are provided on the base (5) that detect the lift of each of the cylinders (12, 13) and are 4 connected to a control device (22) provided for regulating the loading of the cylinders (12, 13) with pressure medium as a function of the lift thereof.

摘要： A method of patching a well or a pipe by hydroforming a tubular metal patch. A tool provided with a pair of inflatable packers is inserted inside the patch. The pair of inflatable packers are axially spaced apart from each other by a distance that is substantially equal to the length of the patch. The tool is positioned inside the patch so that the packers are in register with the end portions of the patch. The assembly of the tool and the patch is axially inserted inside the well or the pipe, and positioned in register with the zone for patching. The packers are inflated to a high pressure, sufficient for radially expanding the end portions of the patch and pressing them in a leak-tight manner against the wall of the well or the pipe. The packers are subsequently deflated and the tool is withdrawn. The method is applicable to the oil industry.

摘要： An apparatus for urging an oil film bearing onto and off of a roll neck in a rolling mill comprises an annular hydraulically actuated piston/cylinder unit mounted on a cylindrical section of the roll neck. The cylindrical neck section is delimited at one end by a circular shoulder on the roll neck, and at the opposite end by a circular groove in the roll neck. A retaining ring has lock arms pivotally movable into seated positions in the groove. The piston/cylinder unit is operable in a first mode in an abutting relationship with the lock arms to urge the bearing onto the roll neck, and is operative in a second mode in an abutting relationship with the shoulder to urge the bearing off of the roll neck. The piston/cylinder unit and the lock arms having complimentary tapered surfaces arranged to coact in urging the lock arms inwardly into their seated positions in response to the abutment of the piston/cylinder unit with the lock arms.

The system is particularly advantageous for removing one or more studs (28) from the sockets (24) of bell cranks (16) of steering systems of vehicles such as an Off-highway Truck. In a particular arrangement the apparatus (30) comprises a frame member (32) adapted to be attached to a pivot joint (14) for extraction of the stud (28) from the socket (16). Furthermore, the apparatus 30 comprises actuator means (34) adapted to be selectively displaced between an extended condition and a contracted condition for applying a force to the stud (28) so as extract or at least loosen the stud (28) from the socket (36). In a particular arrangement, the actuator (34) comprises a hydraulic actuator. The system is adapted to remotely operate the extraction apparatus (30).

摘要： A system for providing a load on a bearing mounted to a shaft includes an attaching member releasably connectable to the shaft and a press mechanism in fluid communication with a source of fluid and configured to provide a compressive load to the bearing. The press mechanism includes a switch having a base and a piston in communication with the fluid such that an increase in a pressure of the fluid results in the piston extending upwardly from the base and a decrease in the pressure of the fluid results in the piston retracting toward the base. The switch includes a lower proximity sensor and a higher proximity sensor. The piston is configured to extend upwardly from the base past the lower proximity sensor and to trip the higher proximity sensor. The switch is configured to control the increase in the pressure in response to the piston tripping the higher proximity sensor.

摘要： The present disclosure relates to systems, apparatuses, and methods for assembling cartridges for aerosol delivery devices. The cartridges may be assembled by coupling a base of the cartridge to a carriage that is transported via a track. The track transports the carriages between various substations at which one or more parts are added to the base. The carriage may be lifted from the track by a lifter mechanism at each substation in order to perform assembly operations on the base. An inspection system may inspect the cartridges at various stages of completion at or between the various substations.
