    • PURPOSE: A variable blade type radiator cooling fan is provided to prevent the frequent driving of a radiator cooling fan due to the insufficiency of the volume of cooling air by changing the position of blades. CONSTITUTION: A variable blade type radiator cooling fan comprises a motor(2) for driving a cooling fan; a rotating shaft(3) rotating by the rotation of the motor; an active disk(4) fixed on the front end of the rotating shaft; a passive disk(5) fitted on the rotating shaft spacing apart from the active disk and installed movable along the rotating shaft; a plurality of fitting holes(9,10) formed on the circumferences of the active disk and the passive disk; and a plurality of blades(6) having two support legs(11,12), inclining by the advancing of the active disk during operation and arraying in parallel with the direction of a wind during stoppage. When the motor is driven, the blades are inclined to forcibly blow air. When a radiator is cooled by simply a traveling wind, the blades are placed parallel with the inflow direction of the traveling wind. Therefore, sufficient cooling performance is maintained.

The main valve lock unit includes a latch(11) disposed in rear of the main valve and which prevents back spacing of the main valve; a piston(12) fixed to the rear end of the latch; a cylinder(13) for guiding movement of the piston; a wax(14) accommodated in the portion of the cylinder where the latch passes; a locking spring(16) mounted in a hollow space(15) formed at the side opposite to the side where the wax is accommodated; and a pressure discharge hole(17) for permitting the hollow space to be communicated to the atmosphere.

    • PURPOSE: A radiator having improved cooling water charge function is provided to exclude a spring by using a plastic float, to improve plasticity by using a plastic material, to reduce the production cost by excluding a sealer, and to prevent damage on a radiator by directly inducing cooling water when vacuum pressure is generated in the radiator. CONSTITUTION: A radiator cap(3) is mounted on a neck part(2) of a radiator upper tank(1) to tightly close the radiator upper tank. The radiator cap has a pressure valve(5) supported on a compression spring(4) rebounding in the direction resistant to the internal pressure. The pressure valve is adhered to a valve seat(6) to isolate the inside of the upper tank from the outside. A vacuum valve(7) installed in the center of the pressure valve comprises a shaft part(8) and upper and lower valve members(9,10). Valve seats(11,12) are opened and closed selectively. The vacuum valve is formed by injecting plastic. According to the specific gravity lower than that of the cooling water, the vacuum valve floats on the surface of the cooling water.
