    • A histone deacetylase gene OsHDT1 which enhances utilization of heterosis in rice is isolated and cloned, said gene consisting of: 1) the DNA sequence of positions 1-894 in SEQ ID NO:1 in the Sequence listing; or 2) a DNA sequence which encodes the same protein as that encoded by the DNA sequence of 1). The histone deacetylase gene OsHDT1 is associated with enhanced utilization of heterosis in rice. When the transgenic plants having no phenotype were crossed with “Zhenshan 97A”, the F1 overexpression hybrid plants have obviously earlier flowering period than F1 wild-type hybrid plants. Moreover, the RNAi inhibition hybrid plants have a decreased seed setting rate compared to the negative control hybrid plants, while the parent RNAi inhibition plants and negative control plants shows no evident difference in the trait of seed setting rate. Western blotting revealed that the gene is capable of deacetylating histone, mainly at H4K16 site. In addition, there exist significant differences in the level of histone modification among “Minghui 63”, “Zhenshan 97” and “Shanyou63”.

    • A radio frequency identification (RFID) device is disclosed. The RFID device includes a silicon substrate having a top side and a bottom side. The RFID device also includes a plurality of circuitry layers formed on the top side of the substrate, and the plurality of circuitry layers include at least a core circuitry and an on-chip antenna. Further, the RFID device includes a plurality of deep openings formed in the substrate on the bottom side under the plurality of circuitry layers. The plurality of deep openings are arranged in an array and through a substantial portion of the substrate, and a remaining portion of the substrate unreached by the plurality of deep openings separates the plurality of deep openings and the plurality of circuitry layers.

    • A smart card watch comprises a watch head (1) and straps (2). A timepiece device and a smart card device are provided in the watch head (1), and a card slot (126) is provided on the side of the watch head (1). People can easily carry the smart card (153) with the watch which cannot be lost easily and they can conveniently change smart cards having different functions any time and anywhere they want. The smart card has great functions and can be used and operated easily. Furthermore, the timepiece device and the smart card device are installed in separate sealed chambers, a first chamber (14) and a second chamber (15) in the watch head (1), thus the timepiece device can be well protected such that it has a prolonged endurance and an ensured working stability. Even if the backcover (13) is opened to repair the smart card device, the normal operation of the timepiece device and the water-tightness of the first chamber (14) are not affected. Besides, the watch head (1) is further provided with a port (154), in particular USB port, which can get access to the service provider's websites via an external computer for electronic data communication and data updates of related services.
