    • A heat transfer pad includes a bladder and a pad port. The bladder has an outside perimeter, an inner face and an outer face enclosing a bladder interior. The pad port has a tubing segment with a proximal end which extends through the outside perimeter of the bladder into the bladder interior. A port seal is formed by bonding the inner and outer faces of the bladder to the proximal end of the tubing segment at a port bond point distal to the outside perimeter of the bladder in the bladder interior. The proximal end of the tubing segment is maintained unbonded to the inner and outer faces of the bladder between the port seal and the outside perimeter of the bladder, thereby defining a strain relief section of the bladder which resists occlusion of the pad port.

    • A portable medication delivery system enables a patient to elect slow continuous auto-administration or rapid bolus self-administration of a fluid medication. The medication delivery system has an infusion pump, which includes a fluid storage chamber and a spring-driven piston positioned in the fluid storage chamber. The fluid storage chamber is initially charged with the medication and the infusion pump automatically delivers a continuous dosage of the medication at a first flow rate over a long time from the fluid storage chamber to a treatment site in the patient. A bolus injector is positioned in series or in parallel with the infusion pump and is charged with a bolus dosage of the treatment fluid from the fluid storage chamber for alternate manual self-injection of the medication into the treatment site at a higher second flow rate for a short time. The infusion pump flowpath includes a drip chamber having an in-line flow restriction, which converts a continuous flow stream from the fluid storage chamber to a drip stream. A sight window in the drip chamber permits the user to visually confirm the flow of medication through the infusion pump.

    • A strap attachment assembly for an orthopedic brace has an anchor mounted on an orthopedic brace component and a strap retainer mounted on a strap. The anchor has a retention post and a retention head and the strap retainer has a body and a retention plate. The body includes a chamber and the retention plate includes a retention opening aligned with the chamber. The retention opening is sized to releasably receive the retention head when the retention post is positioned in the chamber. The retention plate is transitionable between a locked condition and an unlocked condition. The inner boundary of the retention opening blocks displacement of the retention head therefrom in the locked condition and is clear of the retention head to permit displacement of the retention head therefrom in the unlocked condition.
