摘要： In certain embodiments, an apparatus includes controller circuitry and a touch sensor that includes first electrodes. The controller circuitry is configured to measure first capacitance values during a first time period, each first capacitance value associated with a respective first electrode. The controller circuitry is also configured to determine a first hand-usage value based at least on a distribution of the first capacitance values. The controller circuitry is also configured to estimate a hand-usage state based at least on the first hand-usage value. The hand-usage state indicates one of the following hand configurations: right-handed interaction with the touch sensor, left-handed interaction with the touch sensor, or two-handed interaction with the touch sensor.

摘要： In one embodiment, a method of compensating for retransmission effects in a touch sensor includes, in response to measuring a touch input on a display, generating a first matrix comprising a plurality of first measurements associated with a plurality of capacitive nodes of a touch sensor. The method also includes estimating an amount of retransmission associated with the touch input by generating a first vector comprising one or more second measurements associated with one or more first electrode lines of the touch sensor, generating a second vector comprising one or more third measurements associated with one or more second electrode lines of the touch sensor, and calculating an outer product of the first and second vectors. The method includes generating a revised indication of the touch input based on the first matrix and the estimated amount of retransmission.

摘要： A method and apparatus for thermal treatment of tissue by irradiating the skin with electromagnetic energy is disclosed. Sources of electromagnetic energy include radio frequency (RF) generators, lasers, and flashlamps. The apparatus includes either a positional sensor or a dosage evaluation sensor, or both types of sensors. These sensors provide feedback to a controller. The controller may control the electromagnetic source parameters, the electromagnetic source activation, and/or the sensor measurement parameters. An additional scanning delivery unit may be operably coupled to the controller or to the sensors to provide a controlled distribution of electromagnetic energy to the target region of the skin. The use of positional measurement sensors and dosage evaluation sensors permits the controller to automatically determine the proper electromagnetic source parameters including, for example, pulse timing and pulse frequency.

The heat pipe is held tightly against the heat source by mounting holes which penetrate the structure of the heat pipe but are sealed off from the vapor chamber because they each are located within a sealed structure such as a pillar or the solid layers of the casing surrounding the vapor chamber. Another feature of the heat pipe is the use of more highly heat conductive material for only that part of the wick in the region which contacts the heat source, so that there is superior heat conductivity in that region.

摘要： A harness is provided for transporting an injured, incapacitated or disabled individual. The harness is designed to enable a single user to transport a person on their back, thereby freeing up the hands of the user while evenly distributing the weight of the person being carried. The device comprises panel having a proximal section, a mid-section, and a distal end. The panel includes first and second pairs of interconnecting straps. The first pair of interconnecting straps is located along the vertical plane of the proximal and distal ends of the harness, whereby the distal end of the panel is capable of folding upward and being connected to the straps of the distal end, thereby securing an individual therein. The proximal end also comprises a second pair of securement straps, whereby the second pair of straps wraps horizontally around the individual to further secure them within the harness.
