    • PURPOSE:To form automatically various shapes of patterns with simple construction by moving a pin positioning means consisting of one row of driving pins so as to face successively the respective rows of pattern pins. CONSTITUTION:Basic graphic data is put into a disk file 3 and the data of a desired shape is inputted by using a console 2. A computer X outputs the pin position control device of a pin positioning device Y to an interface 4 for each one row according to the pattern shape. The driving pins 8 are fixed to a plate 9 by a fixing device 10 when the positions of pins of the 1st row are determined. The device Y moves upward and the pattern pins 11 of the 1st row on the pattern Z is ejected by which the pattern pins 11 are positioned. A fixing device 13 for the 1st row is thereafter locked. The device Y is then returned downward and is moved to the position of the 2nd row. The positioning output corresponding to the 2nd row is outputted to a motor 6 by the computer 1. All the positions of the pattern pins 11 of the pattern Z are thereafter determined by the similar operation.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a speed changer and simplify a mechanical system by controlling the paper tension at the inlet of an infeed roller to control the elongation strain of paper and the position of a dancer roller. CONSTITUTION:The displacement of a dancer roller 5 is detected by a displacement sensor 8, a value of epsilon1 at which the roller 5 is returned back to a neutral point is computed by an arithmetic unit 17 in accordance with a displacement signal and a formula (5) and the inlet tension T1 of an infeed roller 4 is computed in accordance with the epsilon1 and a formula (6). Next, signals from a tension sensor 16 and the T1 are compared with each other by a control unit 18 to actuate a brake 15 so that a balance between these tensions can be zero. The formulas (5), (6) present dx/dt=1/2V/1-epsilon2(epsilon3-epsilon1) and epsilon1=T1/AE, respectively, where the peripheral speed of the roller 4 is defined as V1, the peripheral speed of a printing unit 2 as V2, the paper tension at the inlet of the roller 4 as T1, the elongation strain of paper epsilon1, the tension of a web between the roller 4 and the unit 2 as T2, the tensile strain of paper as epsilon2, the weight of the roller 5 as W, the longitudinal displacement of the roller 5 as (x), the cross section of the web as A and the Young's modulus of paper as E.

    • PURPOSE:To avoid waste of papers and to reduce the burden of an operator by automatically and quickly adjusting the rotating number of a dampening roller. CONSTITUTION:A desired inking width 10 is input to a control device 11, and then a gripper end 5 of a form 1 is detected by a rotary encoder 9. The change in color on the form 1 from the gripper end 5 to the opposite side 6 of the gripper end is measured by a color mark sensor 8. A signal representing the measure value at this time is input to the control device 11, so that a present inking width 7 is operated by the time of the color change and the printing speed. In comparison between the result of the operation and the desired inking width 10, a deviation is, if any, sent in the form of signals to a PID operation unit, where a control signal to satisfy an equation 'desired ink form width 10 - present ink form width 7 = 0' is obtained. The control signal is then sent to an Amp to be changed into a voltage signal which is in turn sent to a driving motor of a dampening roller 3. Accordingly, the rotating number of the roller 3 is adjusted thereby to eliminate the ground scumming of a printed article.

    • PURPOSE:To accomplish the formation of a magnetic latent image which can be drawn and deleted easily and freely by setting the temperature of a drum consisting of a case made of a superconductor sealing magnets in it at the temperature lower than or equal to transition temperature and heating a latent image formation area. CONSTITUTION:The temperature of the whole magnetic latent image drum 10 is lowered to a temperature below the transition temperature of the superconductor, and a cylinder 11 sealing the magnets 12... and a disk 13 are brought into superconducting state. By virtue of Meissner effect, lines of magnetic force from the magnets 12... are magnetism-blocked so that they do not leak outside the drum 10. In a direction X-Y, a laser beam 15 irradiates and scans the latent image formation area 14 on the surface of the cylinder 11 while the drum 10 is rotated in the direction of an arrow S. The latent image formation area 14 irradiated with the beam, exceeds the transition temperature to turn into ordinary conductive state so that the lines of magnetic force from the magnets 12... inside the drum 10 reach to the surface of the cylinder 11. Thus, a desired magnetic latent image is formed on the surface of the cylinder 11 selectively.

    • PURPOSE:To measure the behavior of an optional-form strip in an almost accurate manner by setting up more than three pieces of strip edge sensors in the feeding direction of the strip in line at regular intervals, and performing the measurement of strip feed quantity by rotational quantity or the like of a contact roller. CONSTITUTION:Strip edge sensors 4A, 4B and 4C are set up in an X direction in line at regular intervals l. And, an edge position of a strip 1 is measured as in respective points P1, P2 and P3 by these edge sensors 4A, 4B and 4C. Next, measuring points in the state that the strip 1 is moved in the X direction as far as the interval l should be set to points P2', P3' and P4', whereby motion of the point on the strip 1 is measured by these edge sensors 4A, 4B and 4C. And, measurement of a feed rate in the X direction of the strip 1 is easily realizable by rotational quantity or the like of a contact roller. With this constitution, any behavior of the strip 1 is measurable in an almost accurate manner if displacement in both X and Y directions is calculated.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent erroneous detection of the chipping off of a cutting edge due to chips by detecting a cutting-edge mounting position by means of a rotary encoder installed on a rotary tool rest and a memory which stores a tool mounting position. CONSTITUTION:A cutting-edge mounting position detecting signal (a) is formed with an angle signal (e) from a rotary encoder 10 and the cutting-edge position angle signal (d) of a tool mounting position memory 11, by means of a cutting- edge mounting position detecting circuit 12 and, accordingly, will not be erroneously outputted due to the effect of chips, etc. Since the contents of the memory 11 can be rewritten, a correct detecting signal (a) corresponding to a tool position can be outputted even if a tool 3 may be mounted on every second or third, or any desired position of a tool rest 2. This, together with a cutting-edge detecting signal (b) from a reflecting type photoelectric switch 7, which indicates the condition of a tool, enables the detection of the chipping off of a cutting edge without erroneous detection by means of a cutting-edge chipping detecting circuit 14.
