An update file of a screen sharing client is acquired from a target device and updated to a source device by means of burning a program into a screen sharing device, instead of burning the screen sharing client itself into the screen sharing device, such that the volume of the screen sharing client is not limited by the storage space of the screen sharing device; and the storage space of the target device is generally much larger than the volume of the screen sharing client, such that new functions of the screen sharing client can be continuously developed, thereby ensuring the performance of the screen sharing client.

The method may also generate a second manifest file for a second system platform that is different from the first platform and send the second manifest file to a second vehicle of a second plurality of vehicles 1406 in the same manner. The first and second system platforms may specify a different software operating system used by vehicles, or different hardware configurations of vehicles. The first and second manifest files may specify different boot files, or different orders of execution of boot files by respective platforms.
