    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant composition which contains a polyol ester oil having excellent heat resistance as a main component and has improved low temperature characteristics substantially without deteriorating the heat resistance.

      2 /sec at 40°C and a high viscosity hydrocarbon oil having a kinematic viscosity of 350 mm
      2 /sec at 40°C, wherein the polyol ester oil occupies 76 to 95 wt.% in the base oil mixture, and a viscosity index-improving agent is further contained in an amount of 0.1 to 5 wt.% in the lubricant composition.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricating oil composition enabling a frictional coefficient at the start of sliding to be reduced.
      SOLUTION: This lubricating oil composition is obtained by formulating a metal soap or a metal complex soap at a rate of 0.1-5 wt.% to a base oil comprising a synthetic oil. This lubricating oil composition exhibits excellent effects such that a frictional coefficient at the start of rotating sliding or reciprocating sliding can be reduced. This is because the metal (complex) soap is held in the sliding part even when sliding is halted, and hence reduction of the frictional coefficient, further of torque, at the start of sliding can be realized. Further, longer operating life of relevant members can be achieved by virtue of reduction of the frictional coefficient at the start of sliding.
