    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a field angle of a still camera to be confirmed on a liquid crystal display panel when a video camera is used for picking up an image of an object. SOLUTION: A video zoom lens 11, an electronic view finder section 21 and a still zoom lens 22 are provided on a front side of the video camera main body 10. A liquid crystal display panel 12 is provided on a rear side of the video camera main body 10. A finder image caught by the electronic view finder section 21 is provided on a rear side of the video camera main body 10. A finder image caught by the electronic view finder section 21 is displayed on the liquid crystal display panel 12, and in the case of video image pickup, a field angle of the finder image is magnified in response to a zoom magnification of the video zoom lens 11 and in the case of still image pickup, a field angle of the finder image is magnified in response to a zoom magnification of the still zoom lens 11 and the resulting image is displayed on the liquid crystal display panel 12. In the case of conducting both the video image pickup and the still image pickup, an image of the still zoom lens 11 is inserted to the image of the video zoom lens 11 as a slave image.

    • PURPOSE:To suppress the deformation of synthetic resin substrates at the time of vapor deposition and when the substrates are restored to ordinary temp. and to uniformly oxidize the entire part so as to enhance the crack resistance of ITO films by depositing ITO by evaporation at the temp. at which the substrates are not thermally deformed. CONSTITUTION:The substrates 24, 38 of the liquid crystal display element 21 are the synthetic resin substrates formed by molding a thermosetting resin with molds. The rear surfaces of these synthetic resin substrates 24, 38 and the surfaces facing thereto are coated with hard coating layers 23, 25, 37, 39. Under coating layers 26, 36 consisting of SiOx are formed on the surfaces of the hard coating layers 25, 37 and further, the ITO as transparent conductive films 27, 35 is deposited by evaporation at the thermal deformation temp. of the synthetic resins or below and is then baked at an optimum temp., by which the conductive films are formed. Insulating films 28, 34 and oriented films 29, 33 are formed thereon and further, a liquid crystal material 31 is injected therebetween. The substrates are then sealed by a sealing member 30 and polarizing plates 22, 40 are laminated on the outer surfaces, by which the liquid crystal display element 21 is formed.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the quality deterioration of a sound signal by selecting a side to be distant from a sound FM carrier frequency when two kinds of video carrier frequencies exist, and supplying it to a rotary head simultaneously with a sound FM signal at the time of recording only the sound signal. CONSTITUTION:The recorder has an FM modulating circuit (S-VHS specification) 1 for high picture quality in which the carrier frequency at the time of non-modulation is 5.4MHz, and a standard FM modulating circuit 2 in which the carrier frequency at the time of non-modulation is 3.4MHz. When an S-VHS tape is loaded to the VTR, when the instruction of the S-VHS is executed and when the recording mode of only the FM sound signal is instructed, the modulating circuit 1 is selected by the action of a logic circuit 3. In such a case, when the recording of only the FM sound signal is executed, the non- modulation carrier signal 1 of the higher side is always supplied to a head 6 for video. Thus, the voice quality can be improved while maintaining a compatibility.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate crosstalk accurately by retarding a reproduced chrominance signal in a low frequency state and applying high frequency conversion and synthesis so as to match the phase of the undelayed chrominance signal and the phase of the delayed signal. CONSTITUTION:A reproduced low frequency chrominance signal is subjected to jitter correction by a conventional method and converted into the original band. That is, the phase of the oscillated output of a crystal oscillation circuit (VXO) 10 being a reference and that of a burst signal in the output of the 1st BPF 4 are compared to output the 1st carrier signal to be supplied to a 1st main frequency conversion circuit 3 and in the case of high frequency conversion by the signal, the jitter component is cancelled. On the other hand, the reproduced low frequency chrominance signal retarded by CCD delay element 2 is converted into a high frequency by the 2nd main frequency conversion circuit 5 by a 2nd carrier signal being an output of a 4th BRF 22. An undesired component is eliminated from the output of the circuits 3, 5 by the 1st and 2nd BRFs 4, 6 and result is synthesized by adder/subtractor 7, 8.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a smooth demodulated voice output removed at its noise by processing a switching noise or the like through a serial circuit consisting of a parallel circuit formed by a resistor and a capacitor and anothr capacitor and processing a noise having a long time width due to drop-out through a muting circuit. CONSTITUTION:A capacitor C2 is connected between a parallel circuit 34 consisting of a capacitor C1 and a resistor R1 and an earth point and a demodulated voice signal (a) is applied to the node between the circuit 34 and the capacitor C2 to process noises having a time width less than a switching noise. The output of a delay circuit 17 is supplied to the other terminal of the circuit 34 through a switch 32 controlled by a holding pulse. The signal (a) applied through the circuit 34 and the delay signal are applied to the non-inversion input point of a buffer amplifier 35. The output of the amplifier 35 is covered at its drop-out haing a long time width by a muting pulse (f) applied froma drop-out detecting circuit and muted smoothly by the time constants of a capacitor C3 and a resistor R2 and a noise-removed and waveform-shaped signal is outputted through a buffer amplifier 37.
