    • PURPOSE: To perform the treatment of noxious waste matter into an unnoxious state, by adding the specified amount of alkaline substance to the aqueous slurry of fine powdery waste matter containing noxious heavy metals, adjusting its pH above, 5 filtering it, and adding cement to the leftovers to cake them.
      CONSTITUTION: Waste matter A such as dust is charged in a water tank B to form slurry by immersing it in water. Hence, water-soluble alkali (alkaline earth) metal salts and heavy metal salts are dissolved in water. Thereafter by adding a ferric salt C and alkali D to the immersion liquid, the heavy metal salts in the dust and the added ferric salt are converted into insoluble hydroxides. On the other hand, the alkali (alkaline earth) metal salts in the dust are still dissolved as such and oxides are suspended. Thereafter, said slurry is filtered by a filter F, and the leftovers G are mixed with cement K and kneaded by a caking means I to form caked matter 4 having large mechanical strength. The filtrate F is evaporatively condensed by an evaporator H to recover valuable metal salts.

    • PURPOSE:To convert harmful heavy metal salts into a stable state and to recover noble matter, by adding an iron salt and alkaline substance to the aqueous slurry of heavy metal-contg. pulverized waste matter, filtering said slurry, and then leaving the formed filtering leftovers spontaneously standing or heat- treating the filtered residues. CONSTITUTION:Waste matter A such as dust is charged in a water tank B and changed into aqueous suspension, so as to dissolve water-soluble alkali metal salts and heavy metal salts in water. By adding iron salt C and alkali D to it, the heavy metal salts are converted into water-insoluble hydroxides with the iron salt, while the alkali metal salts are held under the dissolved condition. Thereafter, the suspension is precipitated and then separated into solid matter and a liquid by filtration using a filtering device E. The filtrate 1 is concentrated by an evaporator H, and the alkali metal slats are recovered. On the other hand, the mixture 3 of heavy metal hydroxides, etc. at the side of filtered residues G is converted into residues 4 stable even to acidic water by heat-treating it in a heat-treating device I.

CONSTITUTION:Waste matter A such as dust is charged to a water tank B and changed into suspension, so as to dissolve water-soluble alkali metal salts and heavy metal slats in the water. In succession, iron salt C and alkali D are added to convert the heavy metal salts and added iron salt into water-insoluble hydroxides. The suspension after being precipitated is filtered using a filtering device E. Alkali metal salts such as NaCl transfer to the phase of a filtrate F, while hevy metal hydroxides, SiO2, etc. remain in the filtering residue G. The alkali metal salt-contg. solution 1 after being evaporated, condensed and recovered by an evaporator H can be used as a raw material 2 for industrial use or a fertilizer in place of potassium ore or rock salt.

    • PURPOSE:To facilitate the disposal of harmful heavy metals for contriving the elimination of environmental pollution, by adding alkali and then a small amount of water to heavy metal-contg. waste matter in the presence of iron salt, forming it into paste, heat-treating it and then forming it into aqueous slurry. CONSTITUTION:Waste matter A such as dust, iron salt B and alkali C are sufficiently blended using a small amount of water D by a mixer E to form a pasty mixture. This mixture is introduced into a heater F and heat-treated therein. After the heat-treatment is completed, the waste matter I is charged in a water tank G and dipped in water to obtain slurry suspension. In succession, the suspension separated by precipitation and filtered by a filtering device H, wherein alkali salts such an NaCl transfer to the side of a filtrate I while iron-heavy metal crystals and oxides such as SiO2 remain at the side of filtering leftovers J. The alkali metal salts 2 at the side of the filtrate I are evaporated, condensed and recovered by a recovering device K, and utilized as a raw material for an industrial use or a fertilizer.
