摘要： PURPOSE:To permit prompt fusion of incineration ash even if the incineration ash including high melting point material is put into a fusion furnace directly as it is by generating high-temperature plasma arc on a continuous basis at a plasma torch installed in the fusion furnace. CONSTITUTION:A plasma torch 8 is lowered into a plasma arc furnace 5 to set the torch 8 at a preset distance to a corresponding pole 10. Then, incineration ash or captured dust is put into an ash hopper 12. The incineration ash put into the hopper 12 is put into the furnace 5. A cooled water supply device 27 is actuated to supply cooled water to the torch 8. Then, an air supply device 27 is actuated to supply air to the torch 8. A power supply device 4 equipped with a switching means from a.c. to d.c. applies d.c. voltage and gives high- energy pulse between the torch 8 and the corresponding pole 10, so that the heat energy of the plasma arc is given to the incineration ash. The heat energy of the plasma arc makes the incineration ash into fusion slag, which is taken out to an outside slag receiver 15.

CONSTITUTION:A heater 30 is disposed in a flue gas purifying line on the upstream side of a bag filter 1 for filtering the flue gas from an incinerator. Also, an induced draft fan 3 is provided in the flue gas purifying line on the downstream side of the bag filter 1. Thus, flue gas is prevented from condensing in the bag filter 1 by operating the heater 30 at the starting and finishing times of the incinerator to treated flue gas quickly. Also, the bag filter 1 is prevented from corroding by dew condensation or the like, and harmful substances such as HCl, SOx, soot, heavy metal, dioxane can be removed from the starting and through finishing time of operation of the incinerator.

Thus, the disposal of the waste matter containing a harmful heavy metal is facilitated and reclamation never pollutes the atmosphere.
