    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle drive device capable of downsizing a driving rotary machine, reducing fuel consumption and securing adequate drive force.SOLUTION: A vehicle drive device 1 comprises: an input member I which is drive-connected to an internal combustion engine EG and a first rotary machine MG1; an output member O which is drive-connected to wheels; a transmission mechanism TM; a second rotary machine MG2; and a clutch C. The transmission mechanism TM includes a first rotary element E1, a second rotary element E2, a third rotary element E3, and a forth rotary element E4, in an arrangement order of a velocity diagram. The first rotary element E1 is selectively fixed to a non-rotary member 3 through a first brake B1. The second rotary element E2 is selectively drive-connected to the input member I through the clutch C, and selectively fixed to the non-rotary member 3 through a second brake B2. The third rotary element E3 is drive-connected to the output member O, and the forth rotary element E4 is drive-connected to the second rotary machine MG2.

This constitution can eliminate an oil passage running through an oil pump body, of which the front end wall part 10a of a transmission case consists, to respective hydraulic power cylinders, reduce the number of oil passages in a body, increase the number of lightening spots, and decrease weight.
