    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dissolve a generated gas into water without scattering in the air when the gas is to be dissolved into the water using a gas generating agent which comes into contact with or reacts with the water to generate the gas in a short time. SOLUTION: Using a lid or an inner lid for sealing a container such as a PET bottle, a gas-generating lid or an inner lid is prepared, where the gas generating agent coming into contact with the water to generate hydrogen or the like is fixed or stored in the internal space of the lid or the inner lid. After the lid or the inner lid is tightly put on the container containing the water to prevent the water and the gas generating agent from coming into contact with each other, the water is brought into contact with the gas generating agent.     • PURPOSE:To finish an end surface of an optical fiber into a specular surface and to obtain a superior photodonductor by projecting the tip of a plastic optical fiber slightly from an end surface of a cylindrical body of a heat-resisting material and engaging it, and heating the effective surface of the end surface while moving it relatively to a heating means so that a fiber core material is foamed. CONSTITUTION:The protection material 12 atop the plastic optical fiber 1 is removed to project the tip of the core material 11 slightly from the effective surface 21 of the cylindrical body 2 made of the heat-resisting material, and the tip is fixed. A cut part 22 is preferably formed on the side of the effective surface 21. Then when the cylindrical body 2 is turned upward and heated with, for example, flame 3 as shown by an arrow (a), the contacting temperature is held above 300 deg.C and the cylindrical body is heated for about one second. Consequently, the fiber 2 is expanded radially in a short time and its end surface is finished into a specular surface, thereby obtaining a photoconductor which is fixed to the cylindrical body 2 with good adhesive strength.

    • PURPOSE:To develop a hollow yarn filter module excellent in filtering efficiency, by providing a filtrate gathering chamber to one end part of a filter member, which is constituted by linearly arranging a large number of hollow yarn filter membranes having openings at both end thereof and providing piping for allowing the filtrate in said chamber to be confluent to that from the other opening end. CONSTITUTION:A large number of porous hollow membranes 3 such as polyethylene hollow yarn membranes are linearly bundled and fixed to ring shaped members 1, 1' at both ends thereof by a fixing member 2 comprising polyurethane. A partition member 5 is fixed to one ring shaped member 1' of the filter member consisting of the hollow yarn filter membranes 3, the fixing member 2 and the ring shaped member 1 to form a filtrate gathering chamber 4. Filtrate piping 6, which allows the filtrate collected in the filtrate gathering chamber 4 to be confluent to that from the opening of one hollow yarn filter membranes 3, is arranged so as to pierce through the almost central part in both fixing members 2. By this method, the efficient hollow yarn filter module much in a filtering water amount for its small size is developed.

    • PURPOSE:To enhance the durable reliability of a hollow yarn filter module, by enhancing the bonding strength between a ring shaped member and the fixing member provided to the opening end of a hollow yarn filter membrane, by providing recessed parts and/or protruded parts to the inner surface of the ring shaped member. CONSTITUTION:In arranging a hollow yarn filter module in a water purifier, recessed parts and/or protruded parts are provided to the inner surface of a ring shaped member 1 functioning as a support member for supporting the whole of the module. The end parts of hollow yarn filter membranes 3 are fixed to the inner surface of the ring shaped member 1 and, in order to allow said membranes 3 to function as filter membranes, a fixing member 2, which functions as the partition member of water to be purified and purified water, is adhered to the hollow yarn filter membranes 3. A large number of the hollow yarn membranes 3 are fixed to the fixing member 2 in a state bundled in a U-shape while the opening ends thereof are held under an open state. By providing the recessed and protruded parts to the inner surface of the ring shaped member 1, the bonding strength between the ring shaped member 1 and the fixing member 2 is enhanced to a large extent by anchor effect or physical inlay effect.
