摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mantle assembly consisting of a spring clip which has durability substantially as high as the durability of a mantle fixed by a string material and keeps holding power even when being heated, and a mantle which is to be attached without being twisted. SOLUTION: A mantle assembly consists of a mantle 41 having at least one open end 43 and a clip 35 existing at the open end to attach the open end of the mantle to a burner tube 52 of a lantern. The clip includes almost circular center part surrounding the aperture of the mantle and a pair of end parts. The end parts are made movable between a first state and a second state so as to alter the size of a hole in the center part. The mantle may have almost a tubular shape provided with a pair of open ends and respective open ends are surrounded with the clip.

摘要： PURPOSE: To minimize infrared radiation and maximize visual light radiation, by making up a radiation means out of an array of cavities of a certain substance and adapting the size of the cavities to allow this substance to transmit only electromagnetic radiation with wavelengths longer than a predetermined value. CONSTITUTION: This device is equipped with a plurality of separate xenon radiation sources 10 disposed in oblong, square cross-section waveguide cavities 12, and each cavity is formed of side face members 14A to 14D each having a lateral size of 350 nm and a length of 700 nm. Each waveguide cavity 12 has a cut-off wavelength of 700 nm without a mode for radiating wavelengths longer than 700 nm. Electron transition of discharge plasma, causing infrared radiation with a wavelength of 700 nm or longer in free space, is thereby prevented from being generated in waveguide cavity discharge. Infrared radiation can be prevented and luminousity is improved.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a flashlight excellent in reflective efficiency and heat resistance and high in illuminance, by forming an enameled surface on the inner surface of the center part near to the heating mantle of a reflecting plate. SOLUTION: A mantle guard 64 is detachably attached to the upper end part of a second pipe 62, and a heating mantle 7 is retained between the mantle guard 64 and a step part 62a. When the illumination of the heating mantle 7 is lowered following use, the mantle guard 64 can be detached to be simply replaced. Here, an enameled surface 51, wherein enamel-working is applied to a metal basis material, is formed on the inner surface side of the center part 5a near to the mantle 7 of a reflecting plate 5, besides which is constituted of two members of a first reflecting member 5A, having a continued rotative paraboloid and a second bowllike reflecting member 5B. The reflecting member 5A forms a mirror surface 50 with mirror surface treatment applied to a light metal plate, and the reflecting member 5B forms an enameled surface 51 on the inner surface opposite to the mantle 7 with enamel-working applied to a steel plate basis material having high heat resistance.
