摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame generating apparatus for underwater installation and a method for generating underwater flame, by which such performance effects that flames burn in water or on a water surface can be expected, and flames are stable and cause no contamination of water.SOLUTION: The flame generating apparatus for underwater installation includes an inner cylinder the upper end of which is opened and the lower end of which is connected to a suction pump; an outer cylinder the upper end of which is opened and which houses the inner cylinder inside; a swirl flow generating means generating a swirl flow in a space between the inner cylinder and the outer cylinder; and a gas feeding pipe the one end of which has a gas ejection part having a gas ejection port and the other end of which is connected to a fuel gas supply source. The gas ejection part is concentric with the inner cylinder and positioned to protrude more upward from the upper end of the inner cylinder. There is also provided the method for generating flame in water using the above apparatus.
