The trailing component (1, 3, 5) includes a first connecting member (12, 32) and a second connecting member (13), and the leading component (2, 4, 6) includes a third connecting member (23, 42, 62) and a fourth connecting member (24, 63). The first connecting member (12, 32) is configured to be detachably connected to the third connecting member (23, 42, 62) and the second connecting member (13) is configured to be detachably or non-detachably connected to the fourth connecting member (24, 63), thereby achieving interlocking between the trailing component (1, 3, 5) and the leading component (2, 4, 6). Additionally, both the first connecting member (12, 32) and the third connecting member (23, 42, 62) are non-biodegradable. At least one of the second connecting member (13) and the fourth connecting member (24, 63) is biodegradable, or the second connecting member (13) is fitted and connected to the fourth connecting member (24, 63) by an associated biodegradable connecting member. Thus, before the connecting member is degraded, it can be ensured that the trailing component (1, 3, 5) and the leading component (2, 4, 6) are firmly connected together by the four connecting members, facilitating overall retrieval or adjustment of the pacemaker (100, 200, 300). Moreover, after the connecting member is degraded, the trailing component (1, 3, 5) can be easily retrieved.

For example, a method for assessing a function of the heart can include determining a time-based electrical characteristic for a plurality of points distributed across a spatial region of the heart. The plurality of points can be grouped into at least two subsets of points based on at least one of a spatial location for the plurality of points or the time-based electrical characteristics for the plurality of points. An indication of synchrony for the heart can be quantified based on relative analysis of the determined time-based electrical characteristic for each of the at least two subsets of points.

摘要： Systems and methods for monitoring and treating patients with heart failure (HF) are discussed. The system may sense cardiac signals, and receives information about patient physiological or functional conditions. A stimulation parameter table that includes recommended values of atrioventricular delay (AVD) or other timing parameters may be created at a multitude of patient physiological or functional conditions. The system may periodically reassess patient physiological or functional conditions. A therapy programmer circuit may dynamically switch between left ventricular-only pacing and biventricular pacing, or switch between single site pacing and multisite pacing based on the patient condition. The therapy programmer circuit may adjust AVD and other timing parameters using the cardiac signal input and the stored stimulation parameter table. A HF therapy may be delivered according to the determined stimulation site, stimulation mode, and the stimulation timing.

摘要： Antibacterial coatings and methods of making the antibacterial coatings are described herein. A first branched polyethylenimine (BPEI) layer is formed and a first glyoxal layer is formed on a surface of the BPEI layer. The first BPEI layer and the first glyoxal layer are cured to form a crosslinked BPEI coating. The first BPEI layer can be modified with superhydrophobic moieties, superhydrophilic moieties, or negatively charged moieties to increase the antifouling characteristics of the coating. The first BPEI layer can be modified with contact-killing bactericidal moieties to increase the bactericidal characteristics of the coating.
