    • A method in a base station is provided for reducing distortion of an uplink signal received in a receiver part (20) of the base station, said distortion being caused by intermodulation, IM, products. The method comprises: generating (106), from a transmitter source signal, a modeled signal of IM components, as nth order IM components of the transmitter source signal, n being an integer value of 2, 3, 4 and/or 5 etc., and detecting (110) IM products of the received uplink signal, the received uplink signal comprising UL traffic components and the IM products, by correlating the received uplink signal with the IM components of the modeled signal. The method further comprises producing (112) a cancellation signal based on the detected IM products of the received uplink signal, and subtracting (114) the cancellation signal from the received uplink signal. Also, a similar apparatus in a base station is provided.

    • A method in a base station for detecting a HARQ-ACK codeword comprised in a signal received from a UE is provided. The base station knows HARQ-ACK codewords being possible to detect. The base station receives (401) a signal from the UE comprising a modulation symbol. The base station estimates (402) a SNR value for the received signal, and calculates (403) soft values for the modulation symbol. When the SNR value is lower than a predetermined threshold value and when the modulation symbol of the received signal comprises more than two bits per modulation symbol, the base station uses a first mode. The first mode comprises correlating (405) only the two first calculated soft values for the modulation symbol with the one or more known possible HARQ-ACK codewords. In other cases, i.e. when the first mode is not used, the base station uses a second mode. The second mode comprises correlating (408) all calculated soft values for the modulation symbol with the known possible HARQ-ACK codewords.

    • The present invention relates to channel decoding and provides ways and means for improved channel decoding of data frames. The frame has been channel encoded and transmitted to a receiver (3a). The frame includes a part (51, 53) with information that is unknown to the receiver and another part (54, 55) with information for which the receiver generates at least one data hypothesis predicting its information content. The receiver performs a hypothesis-based decoding (149) of the received encoded frame, wherein the at least one data hypothesis is used to improve a probability of successful decoding. The invention may advantageously be used to improve decoding of frames containing short control messages with fill bits, e.g. acknowledgement messages (17).

The number of TA commands that are scheduled by themselves are minimized to free radio resources and increase the downlink throughput.

Subsequently, adapting S40 the estimated covariance matrix by enhancing the diagonal elements of the covariance matrix to provide an enhanced covariance matrix, to reduce the spread in eigenvalues of the covariance matrix, and thereby improve the robustness of the covariance matrix. Finally, selectively S50 using IRC and/or MRC to mitigate interference of the received signals, based on at least the channel estimate and on the enhanced covariance matrix, to provide a received signal with improved quality on channels with Doppler frequency.
