    • The invention is related to a locking device (30; 50) for a bicycle, comprising a main housing (1) which is attachable to a component of the bicycle, a cable (22), wherein both cable ends (17, 18) are lockable inside the main housing (1), a GPS module (12) for locating the locking device arranged inside the main housing (1), a radio frequency device (11) at least for transmitting at least a signal encoding at least a parameter of the locking device to a remote receiving means, comprising at least a radio frequency chip and an antenna. The main housing (1) comprises two parts: either a component case (51) and a clamp (52), wherein the clamp (52) comprises a first and a second clamp element (62, 63) forming in an attached state a space (2) for embracing the component (54) of the bicycle, wherein the component case (51) is detachably attachable to the first clamp element (62) by main attachment means (10, 60, 61) or a back case (1a) and a front case (1b), which are detachably attachable to one another by first and second attachment means (3, 5; 4, 6, 7), the back case (1a) and the front case (1b) being formed in such a way that in an attached state they form a space (2) for embracing the component of the bicycle and in that the first and the second attachment means comprise each interacting elements (3, 5; 4, 6, 7) arranged in the back case (1a) and in the front case (1b).

    • A method of detecting an attempted lock bumping and providing a notification that an attempted lock bumping has occurred. A lock bumping detection device is placed on or in a door or door jamb near the lock. The device includes a sensor which senses energy and generates a signal that is processed to determine if the energy is a result of a lock bumping procedure. The sensed energy is analyzed to generate a received energy signature, which is compared to a stored energy signature with respected to qualifying and disqualifying rules. If the result of the comparison is positive, this indicates that the energy sensed is a result of an attempted lock bumping procedure. In the event that it is determined that the energy is a result of an attempted lock bumping procedure, then an alarm signal may be transmitted to an associated alarm system.

    • A combination door lock and alarm consists of an adjustable shaft, two pads which are able to pivot, and an automatic alarm. The pads are provided with non-skid surfaces which ensure the stability of the device. The pivot feature of the pads allows quick set-up of the device without the need of extensive adjustment. A novel alarm actuating means is also disclosed, which consists of a spring clip in contact with a toggle switch. The use of the toggle switch allows for a continuous alarm signal, even after pressure is removed from the device. The alarm actuating means is activated by a spring loaded shaft, which will be pushed into the main shaft of the device as pressure is applied to the door. The spring clip is mounted on the outside of the spring loaded shaft and the movement of this shaft is what forces the clip to trip the toggle switch. The unit is designed to fit conveniently into a suitcase for travel and can be suspended from a door knob when not in use.
