    • There is provided a vehicle lock controller capable of enhancing the security performance of a vehicle by automatically locking at least one door of the vehicle in an appropriate time. A human detection sensor is disposed on a vehicle, and a vehicle door lock controller is configured to detect the presence of a person around the vehicle based on an output signal of the human detection sensor. The vehicle door lock controller is provided with a short-range wireless communicator for wirelessly communicating with a wireless communication device within a short range and a long-range wireless communicator for wirelessly communicating with the wireless communication device within a long range. The vehicle door lock controller sets a timeout period before the at least one door of the vehicle is automatically locked after being unlocked, depending on whether or not communication exists between these wireless communicators and the wireless communication device.

    • A compact power lock is provided for use in a pickup truck tailgate with a key lockable latch that relies on a lock lever for its operation. The power lock includes a linear power actuator attached to a sliding actuating link with two tabs that engage the lock lever of the key lockable tailgate latch. The actuating link is arranged alongside the linear power actuator so as not to add to its length and to attain maximum compactness. The spacing of the two tabs is such that the lock lever can move freely between the locked and unlocked position when it is activated by the key lockable tailgate latch. When the actuator is energized by voltage pulses of alternating polarity its motion is transferred to the attached actuating link and the tabs push the locking lever to or fro to lock or unlock the tail gate.

The device comprises a first body, a second body, and a lock. The first body includes a pushing element, a pressing element, and a driver unit. The end of the pressing element is pressed against the end of the pushing element. The driver unit is connected with the pressing element and is next to the second holder. The driver unit is electrically connected to the control unit. The second body includes a rotary element. The rotary element is stopped on the pressing element. The lock is disposed next to the first body. The present invention provides an improved locking device for a truck and ensures the safety of cargo when user forgets to lock the container.
