    • The embodiments disclose a silicone encased flexible cable comprising plural individual conduits and at least one junction box configured into a grouped arrangement including at least one of the conduits is a fluid communication conduit for transferring fluid through the cable, wherein the silicone encased flexible cable is coupled between a controller and an electro-mechanical device, and wherein the fluid communication conduit is configured to transfer at least a liquid and pneumatic gas through the silicone encased flexible cable during operation of the electro-mechanical device; and a mixture of silicone and additives, wherein the additives include graphite and conductive materials mixed within the grouped arrangement, wherein the mixture of silicone and additives is used to create a curved “U” shaped self supporting portion surrounding the grouped arrangement during manufacturing as a singular encasement that is capable of sustaining its shape.

    • When a specific electric potential is to be applied to a component (11) within a vacuum container, it is required to guide a conductor through a wall of the vacuum container (10). To this purpose, an insulating body (14) must be mounted in the wall (10). If physical or chemical processes within the container lead to separation of conductive material, there is the danger that the insulating body (14) will be coated within the container and that the resulting conductive coating forms a bridge between the conductor (13) and the container 10). For preventing deposit of material on the insulating body (14), a gas flow is generated for sweeping along the wall portions of the insulating body (14).

    • A superconducting apparatus comprises a superconducting coil, a cryogenic fluid for cooling the coil, a vessel for enclosing the superconducting coil and the cryogenic fluid, a current lead penetrating into and supported by the vessel and electrically connected to the superconducting coil, and an electrically insulating tube disposed around the current lead. The insulating tube includes an electrically insulating ring disposed around the current lead between the vessel and the current lead and outside of the vessel for electrically insulating and hermetically sealing between the current lead and the vessel, a hollow electrically insulating cylinder disposed around the current lead, and means disposed between the insulating ring and the cylinder for continuously connecting the ring and the cylinder thereby to substantially close any gap therebetween against electrical discharges therethrough.
