    • Aspects of the present disclose involve a method, a device, and a system comprising a processor and a machine-readable storage medium storing a set of instructions for providing audio level safeguards for output audio signals. In example embodiments, the method includes accessing a most recent audio level of an audio output device and determining whether the most recent audio level transgresses a threshold value. Based on determining the most recent audio level transgresses the threshold value, a current audio level output by the audio output device is set to the threshold value. Thereafter, the current audio level is gradually increased, at repeated time intervals, until it reaches the most recent audio level.

    • An example implementation involves a first playback device receiving audio content to be played back by the first playback device and a second playback device in synchrony. Such audio content may include a first and second stereo component. The first playback device determines a limiting result that indicates frequencies at which a playback volume of the second playback device is limited and determines a crossover frequency based on the indicated frequencies at which the playback volume of the second playback device is limited. The first playback device causes the second playback device to play a first portion of the second stereo component that is above the determined crossover frequency and plays (i) the first stereo component and (ii) a second portion of the second stereo component that is below the indicated frequency in synchrony with playback of the first portion by the second playback device.

    • An image sensor array that has a plurality of image sensing pixels and a plurality of programmable gain amplifiers, each of the programmable gain amplifiers connected to receive and amplify an output of said image sensing pixels. Each of said programmable gain senses when an output of the programmable gain amplifier is in an oversaturated condition. Responsive to sensing that the output of the programmable gain amplifier in the oversaturated condition, the amplifier automatically clamps a bias amount to the programmable gain amplifier, to thereby regulate an amount of current draw of the programmable gain amplifier. In this way, the power supply current to that pixel which is oversaturated is prevented from affecting power supplies to the other pixels, by regulating the power supply to the oversaturated pixel.
